Our day (August 2025, Art Gallery of Alberta) was perfect and ran so smoothly. Sandra and her team took care of every detail, allowing us and our guests to be present in every moment - no small feat when the day seems to fly by so quickly! We are so very appreciative of all of Sandra's work bringing our wedding day (and Pinterest board) to life and making the planning process fun and streamlined, even on our admittedly tight timeline of 8 months from engagement to our wedding date. Given our timeline, we expected to make some compromises, but with Sandra's connections and experience, that wasn't necessary and our day exceeded our expectations in every way. It was every bit the colourful, unstuffy, and fun party that we wanted. Thanks again for everything, Sandra and team!

Fantastic experience: Sandra and her team were the real magic behind our fairytale wedding!! I honestly don’t know how we would’ve pulled it off without them. From the first meeting we had, she was so organized, excited, and on top of every detail that it felt like we could actually enjoy the process (and the day) instead of stressing. The best part was how much Sandra genuinely cared about us as people. She really listened, made us feel seen, and we vibed right from the start! Everything felt so easy with her. We had a clear vision for our wedding day, and not only did she bring it to life, but she also enhanced it in ways we couldn’t have imagined. Sandra made our wedding day an unforgettable experience that we will treasure for the rest of our lives. My husband and I came to Sandra on a rather short timeline after another planner ghosted us. Sandra's exceptional organizational skills, creativity, and extensive network of top-tier vendors allowed her to seamlessly bring our vision to life, even within a tight timeline. Our vision was a bit out there ("fairycore" meets Alice in Wonderland, but polished), and Sandra was immediately on board and made every part of the process fun and easy. Even as unexpected challenges popped up (as they always do with events this important), she handled them with grace, and she kept us only as informed as we wanted to be, and we were able to enjoy the process so much more thanks to that. The planning process felt like a close collaboration with a trusted, skilled friend. The actual day of our wedding was magical. The majority of my guests told me it was the best wedding they had ever been to. I actually cried when I saw the reception decor; it was better than I could have ever imagined. From bug bite cream to numerous back-up plans, Sandra and her team were prepared for anything that could happen. She kept the party going smoothly and was flexible, even when my husband and I needed to adjust the timeline on the wedding day due to weather issues. Anyone fortunate enough to work with Sandra is truly lucky. It’s rare to see someone so perfectly aligned with their life’s calling. My husband and I feel so privileged to have worked with her this season. What she does is nothing short of magical.

Right from the start she gets you to make a vision board and then she takes that and elevates it beyond what you could have ever envisioned. Fantastic experience: We utilized Sandra for our daughter's wedding in Canmore recently and it was spectacular. Very organized, professional presentation, excellent secondary support people, absolutely zero issues. Our success with that resulted in a follow-up business function for 150 people and it too exceeded expectations. Fantastic experience: Sandra is absolutely the BEST wedding planner in the business! My husband and I were lucky enough to see her beautiful work and admirable hustle for our wedding this past fall in addition to when we were part of the bridal party for our best friend's wedding the year prior. When we started wedding planning, we actually did a lot of planning ourselves so we figured we would only need a day of coordinator. At the time, Sandra was not offering day of coordination but regardless offered her full planning services at a discounted rate and offered discounts for items from her XO and mane store for our bridal party proposal boxes. Fast forward to when our originally-hired day of wedding coordinator cancelled on us, Sandra and her team truly saved us. Before we even officially hired her, Sandra went above and beyond to take the time to go through our wedding details, discuss what was needed / not needed at that point in our planning process, and offered ideas/suggestions to help us out! Her passion for event planning and willingness to help out her clients, friends of clients and even non-clients is incomparable! She was incredibly accommodating by offering month of coordination, even when this is not a part of her officially offered services, and with her incredible eye for design and elegance, she not only executed our vision beautifully but elevated it to a level we couldn’t have even imagined. Sandra and her team were also incredibly funny and personable, making those long wedding meetings that much more enjoyable. Sandra and her team were incredibly responsive to our never ending questions and respectful of our vision throughout the whole process. I am still receiving compliments from my guests about how our wedding was so beautifully and smoothly executed, and we truly could not have done it without Sandra’s team. This was the BEST decision we made. We wish we could have plan another wedding just for a chance to work with her again!! Make your lives easier and hire Sandra's team! Fantastic experience: Sandra and the entire team were AMAZING Period. My husband and I stated several times over, if we didn’t have Sandra and the team we would have cancelled the wedding on several occasions. We live very busy lives and to have Sandra be able to manage everything wedding related for us it allowed us to not only have the most beautiful wedding and see our vision come to life, but we were actually able to enjoy the process and keep the stress down to a minimum. Anything we threw at Sandra she was more than excited to take on the challenge and where I’m sure a lot of other planners would have told us we were crazy or say they don’t handle such affairs, Sandra and the team went above and beyond at every juncture. We are going to have to have kids soon just so we can have an excuse to throw a party again, really so we can just get to hangout with Sandra once more! Lol BRIDES & GROOMS: if you are thinking of having even a small wedding, please do yourself a favour and book Sandra and the team. I don’t know how my friends planned their weddings on their own, they must be masochists. Again, this wedding would not have happened without Sandra and her team. I happily write this review in hopes that I can convince some of you couples out there that think they can do it all to please save yourself the planning nightmares that will keep you up at night and book Sandra. Mine went away after our first meeting with her and our task became to enjoy the process! We had a lot of personal touches we wanted to add to our wedding and Sandra was able to amplify our ideas and make everything come to life. I wanted an “ethereal, gothic” wedding and my god did Sandra absolutely kill it! I won’t say anything more, just look at the pictures and you will see how a brides crazy vision was able to flourish thanks to Sandra!

Fantastic experience: Our 5 star, two day, fairytale wedding that Sandra Bettina Weddings & Events curated was nothing short of extraordinary. The venue was the Fairmont Hotel MacDonald, and the hotel recommended Sandra as the wedding planner for this extravagant event. The pictures speak for themselves, but what they won't tell you is that Sandra Bettina had just 4 months and an out of country bride to configure the ‘wedding of the century.’ This is the phrase the guests used to describe the weekend! Once you speak to Sandra you get a sense that she understands you, she is on your team, and you know have the colonel to lead you into wedding bliss. Sandra encompasses this innate ability to sense where you need support and immediately springs into action. In addition to providing full service planning, design and coordination services, Sandra and her team also built the wedding website, designed the invitations, and couriered them to guests all around the world including England, Germany, Nigeria, and the United States! The theme of the wedding was timeless luxury, elegance, and instagram worthy moments! Anytime I suggested an idea or concept, Sandra presented a concept or professional vendor that instantly made the idea come to life. The noteworthy gift lounge experience, under the illuminating light tunnel with gifts from TikkhuJewelry, Luvspick, and Timeless Tokens, to name a few. Or, the captivating prima ballerina Audrey Boccara performing with the live classical music accompaniment Duo Grande. And of course, the memorable live painter, Jennie Vegt, that left our guests in awe while captivating our ceremony nuptials on canvas during the reception. Then there was the 360 degree camera by Glam Cam that elevated the guest experience during cocktail hour and throughout the evening. The wedding flowed like a choreographed dance with the help of the award winning actor and producer Jesse Lipscombe as the master of ceremonies. All of these class-act professionals, along with others not mentioned, were curated by Sandra and her team, ultimately making our wedding unforgettable in a way we could only dream. The vendors Sandra works with are all leaders in their prospective industries and she encourages them to do the unimaginable for her clients. The videographer Integra Films edited the Saturday Fairmont wedding in less than 12 hours to showcase the next day at the wedding celebration! The alluring sophistication and emotion of the film left the guests astonished as they relived the magic of Saturday's events. Above, I’ve described such a beautiful wedding and I haven’t even touched on the momentous florals that draped every inch of the Empire Ballroom at the hotel. The handcrafted florals by Cory Christopher Design were cascading over and beyond the tables. The crystal vases that held the monumental flower balls were visions from a magazine. The florals left guests in awe, in full bloom at the church ceremony, into the cocktail hour, over the grand piano, on the private terrace staircase overlooking the river valley, and of course the reception room itself. My now husband, who is not easy to impress, said several times "You (Sandra) have impressed me", and that alone says it all! Every detail of the wedding from the colour of the flowers, mood of the room, menu tastings, decor and design, were all carefully crafted by Sandra Bettina. Truthfully words cannot describe the emotion you feel when you walk into your reception and realize, “WOW, I’m so lucky that I found Sandra Bettina.” The attention to detail, professionalism, range of style, and positive energy exuded is staggering. Sandra Bettina Weddings & Events is the only company I will book in the future for any event, intimate or grand. I cannot forget to mention the impromptu formal welcome dinner for the guests. Sandra cheerfully organized the welcome bags, table decor, chairs, florals, and coordinated with the Fairmont staff on my behalf. The way she does things with ease and organization is admirable. Fantastic experience: Being type A, I was hesitant with hiring a wedding planner. I can’t begin to express how thankful I am that not only did I hire one but hired Sandra and her team. It’s hard to put into words the work they all did when they truly blew me away. The first time we met, it was an instant connection. It felt like we had known each other our entire lives. Sandra has a way of knowing exactly what you’re trying to accomplish without fully putting it into words. I knew that I had a project cut out for myself when I had to settle for a venue due to date restriction and guest count. Sandra was also faced with the challenge of executing my expensive taste with my then fiancés budget spreadsheet. She tackled that challenge with ease! Not only that but she always made sure to hear from both Alfred and I throughout the process and delivered every single time. It was no easy task to transform the room into my dreams but Sandra and her team took the lead and were able to do exactly that. Wedding planning is not always enjoyable and can evidently cause stress but Sandra was there every step of the way talking me through each “fire.” I also truly appreciated how professional and personable she was in all her dealings with us, my parents, bridal party, and all other wedding vendors. Another huge appreciation I had for her was she trusted in my own abilities and allowed me to put the personal touches I wanted, such as: signs, menu creation, seating chart display, wedding invitations, etc. Although I know that takes trust as it was all DIYs and are risky, she never made me feel bad for wanting to do it and supported me and my decisions at the end of the day. It doesn’t matter if you know exactly what you want or if you have no idea where to start, I promise you that hiring Sandra and her team will be one, if not the best, decision you make. Fantastic experience: Sandra was the best thing that ever happened to us! Her entire team was not only amazing, but a blessing to both of our families. And to this day, everyone still talks about that magical day! To start from the beginning, Sandra wasn't our first wedding planner (shocking...we know). We weren’t happy with our previous planner and so we decided to hire a new one literally 4 months before the wedding. When we did our first intro call with Sandra, she was friendly, excited, talented (I mean have you seen her instagram!), and we knew that she loves her job! Most importantly, we fell in love with her humility and honesty; that first call she started off by saying: “I have only done a few Indian weddings, but I am willing to learn," and from that moment on we knew she was the one! We immediately stopped interviewing other planners, and Sandra got onboard at the end of January, ready to tackle our 150-person wedding and pre-wedding events planned for the last weekend in May at the Fairmont MacDonald in Edmonton. On day one of being her client, we immediately noticed how supremely organized, efficient, and how focused she was on getting the job done! She immediately brought fresh ideas, flagged key watch-outs, and we got more done in our first meeting than we did in the previous five months. We'll be honest, our situation was not easy, we came to her with so much baggage from our previous planner. We were an over-budgeted hot mess with so much that had to be done in such little time. At that point in time we still had to finalize vendors, plan our decor, create timelines, solidify our room block, and so much more. Sandra not only helped us with speeding up the process, but most importantly she had to comb through our signed contracts to look for additional wiggle room, find possible upgrades, and negotiate the price needed to make our dream come true! Fantastic experience: My son and his NOW wife ☺️ made the final decision on choosing Sandra to be their wedding planner after meeting with a few other planners in the Edmonton area. I was part of the first meeting and right from the start I knew Sandra and her team were going to be amazing. As mother of the groom, this was a gift to myself, I wanted my kids to have a planner so I along with my husband could enjoy their Wedding Day in its entirety. I also lack any type of creativity and the bride and groom needed some direction on how they wanted their day to look. They definitely knew what they did NOT like but were open to learn and understand what they DID like and Sandra was so wonderful in this process for them. Fantastic experience: Where do you even begin, describing the person who made the best day of you life a reality… My now-husband and I met with Sandra in March 2022 and recently got married in July 2023. She was instrumental from day 1, assisting us with looking at venues, and finding trusted vendors for our wedding day. Not only that, Sandra negotiated on our behalf and was extremely transparent in her process. It was easy to trust Sandra based on not only her contract and discussions we had, but through her actions. Sandra has an impeccable eye for detail (something that we do not) and we trusted her 100% to execute a beautiful, guest experience-focused wedding. She did not disappoint. More on that shortly… There were some items in the process where we had strong opinions on (food lol) but others where we were just looking for someone else to decide on things for us. This is where Sandra was the perfect fit for us. On topics where we did have strong opinions, Sandra listened and executed to perfection. She truly took the time to understand us and what we wanted from our wedding day. On the others (like design), Sandra understood us well enough to know that this came not from indifference, but from a place of different priorities, and stepped into those shoes wholeheartedly. She supported our areas of focus and what we wanted to spend time on, while making sure the areas that were less fun for us to plan were taken care of completely. The planning process is something where Sandra excels. She uses a project management program that ensures all communications are housed in one place - perfect for planning an event with dozens of moving pieces - and was organized by phase and task. What a blessing it was to not have everything split between emails, texts, phone calls, etc. You don’t truly appreciate this until you’re in the thick of approving contracts, stationary proofs, etc. The lead up to our wedding and the wedding day itself were as stress-free and easy as they could possibly be - but that's because Sandra and her team took care of it all! When difficult situations arose, we knew we could count on Sandra to work in our best interests. Between creating our (and everyone else's!) schedules/timelines, coordinating with all of our vendors, and set-up/takedown, there was very little we needed to do but show up to our wedding day and have a good time. When something did unexpectedly go wrong, Sandra directed her full attention to it and ultimately worked with all parties to resolve in a timely fashion. On our wedding day, overwhelming feedback from our guests was that it was the best wedding they'd ever been to - both visually and from an enjoyment perspective. Sandra came up with incredible ideas, such as a lounge-style seating area, kids activity baskets, and a dessert table to replace a traditional wedding cake. No detail was overlooked. Fantastic experience: We hired Sandra to be our wedding planner, and she did not disappoint! She took my pintrest board vision and brought it to life! Sandra made everything about planning a wedding so easy! She was always available to answer a question, or give an opinion about something. She is an expert in her field and it really shows through her work. Everything on the day of turned out exactly how I had dreamed thanks to her and her team! She is also just such a wonderful person. She went above, and I mean truly above, and beyond her scope of work to ensure our wedding was everything we wanted. I miss her emails and glamorous ideas and wish I could get married again and plan everything because she is truly an amazing human. Fantastic experience: We couldn't have asked for a better wedding planner! Sandra met with me and my wife sometime around mid-2021 and helped us plan our wedding for October 2022. We worked together for over a year, and the end result far exceed what we even expected. It was the best weekend of our lives :) Where do I start? - Sandra is very thorough and organized. She uses an app that you can log into and easily monitor what's next on your to-do list. Weddings have a lot of moving parts, but she made it easy for us to follow along and get things done (whenever there were things for us to do) - She's easy to reach and talk to. We never really had any trouble getting ahold of Sandra or felt like we weren't heard or were rushed in any way. We've worked with other vendors in this industry who we did feel like that with, so I feel like its an important point to make. Sandra actually listens and cares - She's highly adaptable. Another very important thing in these uncertain times. Due to life circumstances, we had to move our wedding date. Sandra helped us find a new date, optimize our location, and shuffle our vendors over to the new date. She was able to help us do it with surprisingly little stress. We also had to adjust out budget, and she was able to adapt to the new budget and deliver a beautiful reception that exceed our expectations - Great aesthetic eye. She designed our reception and did an incredible job Overall, I'd highly recommend her as a planner. She's super trustable and goes above and beyond what's required. It's very clear that she cares about and loves her job

Even my husband enjoyed the planning process. She really loves what she does and it shows in her work. We had over a 200 person wedding in Jasper & Sandra did not miss a beat. She is well respected in the industry and knows all of the best vendors. And always worked to get us the best deals. I love that she always gave us options and her honest opinion on what is worth splurging on and what isn’t. We put so much trust in Sandra and we’re not disappointed. We knew exactly what to expect from the moment we signed the contract with her, the meetings with her are well planned and she reviews every detail-things we hadn't even considered. The wedding day logistics are a master class of planning, this is what gave us comfort because the logistics of the day we our biggest question mark, how is this really going to go down and the day went exactly according to plan (logistically). Our day was beautiful and fun and was exactly as we had envisioned it because of Sandra and her team. This woman is a joy to work with, a lovely human being and has a beautifully creative mind-hire her and you won't regret it. PS. If she tells you to spend on the flowers, listen to her, she's always right :)

Fantastic experience: Sandra SAVED US!!!!! We did not know what to do and had a new born baby so we decided to hire a wedding planner and luckily found Sandra !!!! When we had first meeting with her she knew exactly what I wanted! Which made it way easier. I didn't have to worry about anything. It was stress free!!! Fantastic experience: Where do I even begin describing how incredible Sandra and her team are… all I can say was hiring her was truly the best decision we made!! I am a very anxious person by nature and planning a wedding out of town stressed me out, but with Sandra she brought a sense of calm and reassurance to the planning process that I needed, allowing me to enjoy the planning and the wedding day itself. She takes the time and invests in really getting to know you, your wants and vision of your day.. This coupled with her incredibly thorough, meticulous and organized approach, led to an even better vision of the wedding I wanted… she nailed our wedding day vision and vibes! Every guest in attendance was in awe of the whole thing! Also, she has extensive knowledge and contacts in the wedding industry. From a bride who asked for a lot of specific details… she delivered!! From custom napkins, to very specific pillars for our flowers, to the most jaw dropping champagne welcome table.. she curated every detail to a tee!!! We had hired her and the team back in November of 2018 with a wedding planned originally in 2020.. Of course with the state of the world, plans changed…. 4 wedding dates in total. And Sandra was there, every single step of the way, making each postponement seamless and as stress free as possible. After 4 years of planning the most important day of our lives, we finally had our day, and its all thanks to Sandra. The day would not have been what it was without her! If I could give any future or planning bride any advise, my one suggestion would be to hire a planner, specifically Sandra. If you put your trust in her, she will make sure you have the wedding you have always dreamed of!

Fantastic experience: Sandra did a phenomenal job with our Wedding. We had to delay a year through Covid but she made sure all the vendor contracts carried over, worked directly with many of them to ensure there were minimal to no hassle at any stage of the process. the application used to keep everything organized was intuitive and kept all the contracts and meetings notes in one convenient spot On the day of she worked to make sure all things were smooth and when it came to the décor and staging of the venue every looked incredible. overall the day went off without a single hitch and the process from Design to running of the day i can't imagine having done the event without her assistance. was very happy she assisted and was part of the big day

Fantastic experience: Hiring Sandra was THE best wedding decisions we made. She is a true professional and helped us make our dream wedding a reality. You might be asking yourself if a wedding planner is worth it ($). We were engaged at the very end of April 2021 and were married at the very beginning of September 2021. We did not initially budget for a planner so we had a few long conversations over the decision. We are so glad we made the investment. Sandra made the planning process FUN and stress free. Planning a wedding in a pandemic could have been a nightmare but we were able to trust Sandra and focus on the details that mattered most to us. She came THROUGH on our wedding day. Not a single issue or stress came up (that we know of anyway!). It was absolutely the best day of our lives and we have no doubt Sandra was a huge reason for that. Weddings have so many details and Sandra was knowledgable and supportive throughout the entire process. We learned the venue day of coordinator is not the same as having your own coordinator. You need someone that is truly invested and cares about your every detail. That's Sandra. She is on your side and your voice of reason every step of the way. Do not skip this important wedding investment. We both now agree that hiring a wedding planner should be #1 on your to-do list after getting engaged and you would be making a smart decision going with Sandra!

Fantastic experience: Sandra was so great to work with! We booked her mid pandemic as wedding planning was getting a lot more complicated, when we moved our date she was so supportive and helped us so much along the way. Everything I was hesitant about or unsure of, she was able to answer and guide me in that area, from decor/design to wedding favours to the rental process to overall flow of the day. Every time we met up with her or had a meeting I instantly felt so relieved and less stressed. Besides wedding planning, my husband and I had so much fun hanging out with her in general, she’s so warm and easy to talk to. Fantastic experience: Sandra coordinated our wedding on September 4, 2021 at the Hotel Macdonald. We had a perfect day! From early on in our planning process, Sandra was always willing to answer questions and provided valuable advice on everything from vendor selection to decor. We worked with Sandra Cassios for our wedding which was originally on September 19, 2020, then changed to September 18, 2021 for obvious reasons. Fantastic experience: Sandra is the best. We first contacted Sandra as the pandemic was beginning and even during unprecedented times, she was able to navigate all the difficulties with no issues. With every major restriction imposed / reopening phase implemented, Sandra was incredibly proactive planning for each potential situation for what may or may not be possible. We also had a critical vendor back out last minute which had significant implications on the remainder of the wedding / vendors. Sandra not only found another vendor but was able to re-plan a large chunk of the wedding in under a month. We likely would not have proceeded with our wedding during the pandemic without the help of Sandra. Would recommend Sandra to anyone planning a wedding!

Throughout the wedding planning process, Sandra provided us with creative ideas on everything from wedding décor and design, to how to navigate having a wedding during the pandemic! (For example - they picked out and painted 52 picture frames for our wedding since we couldn't have a regular indoor photo slideshow. Also, with two days until the wedding, Sandra arranged to have individual fans at our ceremony since we realized it would be 32 degrees!) Fantastic experience: Sandra is a pint-sized power house. I don't know how else to describe her. My (now) husband and I are usually super organized, paranoid people who started planning our wedding two years ago. And then the pandemic hit and we went into a funk for a bit, unable to think or figure out how to make this wedding happen. That's when we happened to read an article on CBC about wedding season in Edmonton during the pandemic and Sandra was quoted in it. We got in touch thinking to interview multiple wedding planners, but didn't have to. The woman is worth her weight in gold. We knew from that first meeting that she was super organized, had already thought of the million things on our list we wanted to ask her about and was 'present' throughout. When Sandra chooses to focus on something, it has all of her undivided attention. She was super easy to work with, knew how to put our worries to rest and as one of our wedding guests remarked, 'she really loves her job'. If anything went sideways on our wedding day, we didn't know about it/ see it - it was all taken care of - we got married under umbrellas in a rain storm and it was a beautiful day for us, we wouldn't have changed anything. Did Sandra ask about a covered back-up option during the planning, sure. Did we listen, nope. So her and her assistant supported us through it all in their rain coats and umbrellas, and in spite of that soaking wet - that was the kind of storm it was. It was a busy day, packed with two receptions so we could split up our guests for pandemic safety reasons and Sandra and Jill were there for us from dawn to dusk and then some. Hire her, you won't regret it.

Fantastic experience: Sandra rescued our wedding. The pandemic paralyzed our planning and her enthusiasm and caring reinvigorated it. She went above and beyond, adapting and finding solutions to our requests and thinking of things we hadn't dreamt of. Her connections in the industry, professionalism and knowledge were always on display. She was always on the ball and responsive, and worked with us to deliver a dream wedding. When we look back on the wedding we had we doubt we'll realize it wasn't the wedding we originally planned. We couldn't have accomplished any of that without Sandra, especially in these trying times.

Fantastic experience: Sandra really was the best planner we could have imagined having for our wedding on June 27th. We had spent 6 months thoroughly planning our dream wedding and had everything aligned for the big day, then COVID hit. She kept in touch with us on a regular basis, keeping us up to date on the constantly changing rules and regulations for large events. Then came the time where we had to decide to postpone. She was there for us and encouraged us to feel our feelings of sadness that came along with postponing a wedding. About a month and a half before our original wedding date, we decided to still go ahead with our date and have an intimate wedding with our parents and wedding party. Although it looked much different than our original plan, it was the best day of our lives. Sandra was able to bring together many of the elements we were having for our original wedding and made it so so special for my husband and I. Wedding planning can be stressful in itself, but throwing in a pandemic is a whole other story! Sandra was there for us every step of the way and did an amazing job to take the stress away for us. She listened to what we wanted and went above and beyond to help us have the best day we could imagine. Hiring a planner can be an investment, but we can say without a doubt that having Sandra on our side was an excellent decision. Fantastic experience: We are so thankful we chose Sandra to be our wedding planner! Three months before our wedding day, our plans were turned upside down by the COVID-19 pandemic. We were determined to keep our wedding date and once we informed Sandra, her creativity and adaptability exceeded all expectations! Our ceremony transformed into an intimate family gathering (including a first dance) and was live-streamed to all our guests.
