Fantastic experience: I’ve been following The Pop-Up Chapel since 2019, always amazed by every design. So when it came to my own wedding, I didn’t have a particular aesthetic or idea. I just wanted whatever magic they brewed up. They manifested more than a vision: they manifested a feeling. And that feeling was *good*. All of my guests said that was the best wedding they’ve ever been to. The photos that Amy (Buck) took tell a story and every single person is beaming in them. There was so much love in that room (and so many pretty things). Fun summer/autumnal colours, the backdrop of the lake at The Henley Room… even the playful sardine can was so perfect—they have no idea that I’m Portuguese and that my family resonated hard with that! Thank you so much to Alicia, Nicole, and the entire team for taking away so much stress and replacing it with so much calm. I mean, that’s the best wedding gift of all, am I right?

Fantastic experience: My husband and I got married using the Pop Up Chapel at the Globe and Mail Centre last weekend and we were SO glad that we chose their services! It was such a relief knowing the ceremony was completely taken care and that all we had to do was show up with our guests and our license. They made us such beautiful personal florals for us, our officiant was well spoken and made it personal and fun and our photographer really tried to maximize the variety of shots we took in a short period of time. I would highly recommend Pop Up Chapel to anyone who is flexible and looking to forego the expensive, stressful and time consuming process of planning your own wedding!

Fantastic experience: The experience was seamless! Everyone we spoke to throughout the process was super accommodating and kind! We really wanted to go with a stress-free ceremony option and this was not only affordable, but everything is sorted for you! All we had to do was show up and not worry about any of the small details. My husband and I fell in love with the venue (Globe and Mail Centre) and without Pop-up chapel there would have been no way for us to have our ceremony there. We did end up having a dinner and a reception later in the day after our ceremony, so this was still an amazing option even if you are planning a big celebration after the ceremony.

Fantastic experience: We’re both based abroad and couldn’t plan a traditional wedding, so Pop-Up Chapel was honestly the perfect option for us. The whole process was incredibly smooth and stress free. We had one point of contact who handled everything, which made such a difference. All we had to do was show up with our outfits, rings, marriage licence, and our guests. That’s it. Everything else was beautifully taken care of. It was small, simple, and exactly what we needed. On top of that, it was very affordable for everything that was included. We had the best time and are so glad we chose Pop-Up Chapel. My sister also had her wedding with them, so we’ve seen firsthand how consistently great they are. Really highly recommend to anyone looking for an easy, meaningful, and well organized celebration.

Fantastic experience: Cannot recommend Pop-Up enough. We had the best experience with them at The Knox in Merrickville and it was beyond stress-free. They took care of absolutely everything to the point where we were concerned because it felt so easy. They truly are professionals at this and make it incredibly efficient and full of love. The decor was beautiful, the drinks/snacks were fantastic and the entire process was perfect. Wouldn't have done it any other way!!

The location and decor was beautiful, the officiant did an amazing job, and the photographer and musician were wonderful. It really matched our values and dreams for the day, it was incredibly cost-effective (especially in comparison to even just getting our own photographer and officiant for a DIY elopement), and it was so great to be able to just show up! If you're looking for a stress-free wedding ceremony, and a service that takes care of ALL the minor details and planning for you - I can not recommend using the Pop-Up Chapel more!!

Negative experience: Misleading and Disappointing Experience with Pop Up Chapel We initially approached Pop Up Chapel with the intention of having a simple, budget-friendly wedding. From the outset, we were clear about our desire to go out for dinner afterward, separate from Pop Up Chapel’s services. We wanted a straightforward, affordable ceremony without complications. Given their expertise in the wedding industry, we trusted their advice and assumed they would guide us in making the right choice. However, looking back, we feel that Pop Up Chapel should have been more transparent and ethical in advising us on the potential costs and logistical challenges, especially since our plan to go out for dinner afterward would have been a poor fit with their offerings. Lack of Transparency and Misleading Guidance At first, the cost of the ceremony location seemed reasonable — around $4,800. However, we soon discovered numerous additional costs that were not clearly explained upfront, such as: $150 per guest for any number beyond 20 people $40 per guest for "unlimited drinks" during the ceremony $1,500 for 10 additional guests $1,050 for the open bar $650 for a charcuterie board With 30 guests in total, these add-ons quickly accumulated, bringing the total cost for the ceremony and its associated fees to $8,000. We had clearly mentioned that we planned to go out for dinner with our guests after the ceremony, separate from Pop Up Chapel’s services, and hoped to keep things affordable. Despite this, Pop Up Chapel provided us with a formal list of restaurant suggestions, but the cost transparency for these options was severely lacking. The suggested restaurants would equate to about $200 per person, not including tax, tip, or alcohol. For 30 guests, this would bring the dinner cost to approximately $6,000. When you add alcohol, tax, and tip, the total could easily exceed $8,000. Given the costs for both the ceremony and dinner, we quickly realized we were looking at nearly $14,000 for an hour-long ceremony and dinner for 30 people — far from the budget-friendly option we had hoped for. We feel that, had we been properly advised at the outset, we could have avoided this frustration and financial strain. Live Music Is Not What You Think Pop Up Chapel also promotes live music, which, at first, seemed like a great feature. However, it turns out that live music is only provided for 15 minutes during your ceremony. If you want additional music for your event, it’s an extra $499 + tax for another 50 minutes. This felt very misleading based on their marketing, which gave the impression that live music was a bigger part of the event. High-Pressure Sales Tactics In addition to the unexpected costs, we were pressured into booking quickly. We were told that time slots were limited and needed to act fast. After booking, we realized that there were still plenty of available time slots, which made the sales tactics feel manipulative. The Final Straw After realizing that Pop Up Chapel’s costs were adding up to nearly $14,000 for just an hour-long ceremony and dinner, we decided to cancel and requested a refund of our $2,800 deposit. While the owner offered a partial refund of $1,000, we never received it. We have not heard from them again, and the lack of follow-through has left us with complete disappointment and a significant financial loss. In the End We hope this review helps future couples make an informed decision. While the initial price may seem reasonable, the lack of transparency, misleading marketing about live music, and high-pressure sales tactics made our experience frustrating and expensive. We encourage Pop Up Chapel to improve communication and transparency for future customers.

Fantastic experience: If you're looking to make your day really special please look into this place. I cannot sing more praises on the service, follow up, presentation, selection of staff and venue. They went beyond our expectations and the ceremony did not leave many dry eyes in the house. I highly recommend them for you special day as it's well worth the money.

We were able to have a beautiful ceremony at the Evergreen Brickworks and all we had to do was click a few boxes and pay. The officiant was lovely and the photographer was fantastic. Fantastic experience: I had my wedding here July 12th at Evergreen Brickworks. Communication leading up to the event were on-point - always someone responding to my emails to clarify any questions I had on my upcoming day or if I requested a call, someone would. Everything was made easy to understand and I'm VERY happy I had my wedding here. I wanted something small, intimate and decorated already to take my stress away. Everything was done beautifully - when we arrived, clear instructions on where to go, officiant and photographer will meet you in the backroom to introduce themselves before the event starts - all my guests complimented on the setup and floral arrangements which happened to match my husbands suit choice by chance! All the staff was so courteous and friendly. They provide a photographer for the 1 hour ceremony and the same photographer will spend another half hour after for private photos. There were popcorn, cookies and refreshments after the ceremony. I highly recommend Pop-Up Chapel if you're looking for a beautiful, stress-free ceremony!

Pop-up arranged everything from the officiant, music, decorations and it turned out beautifully. Going through Pop-up Chapel really helped relieve some of the stress of all the planning, and our day turned out perfect and very special.

Negative experience: We were really excited about our PUC ceremony and had excellent communication with Kendall and Grace leading up to our wedding day. However, the actual experience on the day felt rushed, somewhat disorganized, and ultimately disappointing. Despite arriving 15 minutes early for our scheduled meeting with the staff, we were greeted abruptly and immediately directed to our couple holding area, even though we had planned to take some pre-ceremony photos. This initial encounter left a negative impression on what had been a great morning up until then. Navigating the venue was also challenging due to a lack of clear signage indicating the location of the specific holding area at Koerner Gardens. This confusion resulted in some of our guests initially heading to the wrong wedding. Additionally, there was a mix-up with the extra boutonnière I purchased for my Father. Despite my verbal confirmation, we had to present my receipt to resolve the issue. Regrettably, my father received the boutonnière only after the ceremony, rather than wearing it during his walk down the aisle. Furthermore, we were surprised to find out that guests were directed to exit directly to the parking lot after the ceremony, without a designated post-ceremony gathering area. Despite these issues, we want to commend the professionalism of the decor, music, photographer, and officiant. They all did an excellent job. We understand that there were multiple weddings scheduled that day, which likely contributed to the rushed atmosphere. For future events, we suggest allowing more buffer time between weddings. This would enable the staff to provide a more personalized and attentive experience to each couple, as well as improve communication or signage to guide guests effectively to the right areas. Overall, while we appreciated certain aspects of our experience, there could definitely be improvements for future couples.

Fantastic experience: This was truly a one of a kind experience and my spouse and I are so incredibly happy we chose the pop up chapel as part of our wedding day! The process was really simple and the team does an amazing job. Both myself and my husband did not want to fuss over smaller choices, so the fact that we got to have the pop up team to do all the decision of decor, food, drinks, photographer, officiant, and set up was a no brainer for us! Plus it was more of a surprise for us to when we walked into the space! We are so grateful for all of their assistance and kindness and they are really accommodating. It honestly felt like we just had to show up with our guests (and marriage application) and the rest was done! Everyone there were so lovely and our guests were raving about it afterwards. We loved the concept, from the fact that it was more eco friendly by sharing decor, to the fact that there is also charity donation as part of the process, down to even using local shops for the food and beverages. Fantastic experience: When we first started our wedding planning process, we always said small + intimate ceremony followed by a big party. Pop Up Chapel delivered this incredibly. We felt that we could customize our package enough to make it fit our vision, but also felt that we were totally taken care of. The teams on-site were absolutely incredible. We also feel that PUC brought in some incredible local talent to help take care of the day (from the design, the florals, the photography and officiant). Even though there are a number of couples getting married that day, I still felt that we were taken care of with such attention and love. Fantastic experience: The Pop-Up Chapel delivers exactly what they promised. An easy step by step process before the wedding, gently and kindly led us through our day and gave us a day exactly as we wanted and dreamed of! Grace in the office was amazing to work with from our first inquiry to being handed off to our wedding planner Flannery. Flannery had every aspect of the day in control and carried herself very calmly and collected. Our officiant walked us through the ceremony before and during in such a comforting gentle way that soothed any worries we had about the ceremony and what we had to do, or where to stand. Our photographer, Alicia, was so in tune with our vibe as a couple so quickly and gave us a photo session that was so fun and easy especially for my camera shy husband. We cannot say enough good things about our experience. We did the "Mini-lopement" option and we have no regrets!

As my (now) husband and I talked about what we wanted for our wedding, the Pop Up Chapel ticked all the boxes for us. Our Chapel experience on the day of our wedding was magnificent. We got married at the Evergreen Brick Works which is such a gorgeous venue. The team was so organized and kind, and put everyone at ease. I love that I got to be fully present and truly enjoy the day with my partner, our friends, and family. It was stress free and easy. Part of the Pop Up Chapel experience is relinquishing control when it comes to the decor. This was something I was actually very excited for because every Chapel I had seen photos of was unique, creative, and stunning. Ours was no different. I saw a sneaky peek of the colour story while I was getting my hair done before the wedding and I squealed with delight. The colours were vibrant, there was a beautiful mural, and everything came together perfectly in the Brick Works space. My friends couldn't believe that I had nothing to do with picking the colour scheme and aesthetic because it was perfectly "me". I also love that the team recycles and upcycles pieces of the decor - very cool from a sustainability perspective. The vendors that they work with are the best best best. Our officiant Kim was just a dream; I felt like she knew us our whole lives and was truly invested in us as a couple. Her remarks and words for the ceremony were so beautiful. Our photos are absolutely stunning and capture the joy, love and laughter that was so present during our time in the chapel. The couples photo session afterward was so much fun too! We opted to add on a videographer, and the video he produced is outstanding. I was honestly blown away the first time I watched it, and still can't watch it without crying. These images and video are so special and something we'll cherish forever. I cried when I saw my flowers (yes, there's a theme here) but they were stunning. They perfectly matched the vibe and aesthetic I hoped for. I sent a couple of photos for inspiration and Snowberry Botanicals nailed it. Our guests had a lovely time in the chapel and everyone commented on how special it was to have an intimate wedding in such a beautiful venue. Overall it was the perfect day. To be able to be so present and have such a stress free time was truly a dream! We couldn't have asked for a better wedding experience.

Fantastic experience: I am immensely grateful to Pop Up Chapel for creating such a memorable moment with the man I love. While I was living in Ireland, I stumbled upon Pop Up Chapel online. Upon returning to Canada, I promptly booked an appointment. My best friend and I had a lot of questions, and after careful consideration, we decided that Pop Up Chapel wasn't the right fit for my big day. However, after the session, I couldn't stop thinking about Pop Up Chapel and decided they were it! On October 13th, 2023, my husband and I had a mini elopement. We wanted an intimate moment with our closest friends, and Pop Up Chapel made it happen. The level of customer service we received was incredible - from the very first consultation to the last-minute requests on our special day. They showed us genuine care and empathy, and we felt like we were in good hands throughout the process. The location and décor of the venue were everything we could have hoped for and more. I cannot thank Pop Up Chapel enough for giving us such a beautiful and unforgettable experience.

Fantastic experience: We recently just had our wedding ceremony with The Pop Up Chapel and are so happy with our decision to go with them. Not only was our date at our dream venue (Evergreen Brickworks) but the decor was gorgeous, everything was seamless, and the photographer, officiant and team all coordinated such a perfect wedding. We had a couple extra add ons, like extra guests, video, and an extra hour and I love that they have all of these offerings if you want a little extra for your day! They always replied quickly to any questions and they provide you with a lot of details. I did a lot of research and emailing around when we initially started planning our wedding, and we got so overwhelmed with the high prices, the hidden things in contracts and the pressure to sign, pay more, and the minimum spends etc. Pop Up chapel was a breath of fresh air, and it was perfect for us because we rented out a small space after and did a DIY style, chill reception party with our guests. So we had our gorgeous wedding at Evergreen with everything included and taken care of, and then went off to party. They also offer a party spot add on which is an extra 2 hours and a few more things included if you want to stay there! They re-use the decor for all the wedding time slots that Thurs/Friday so its a more sustainable practice - and some of their decor is up cycled as well. All of it is super thoughtful. It really is as simple as just showing up with your guests and having an intimate wedding. Every time I see photos from that day I want to cry - it was so perfect... and way cooler than city hall lol!

Stress free, inclusive and sustainable + the location was phenomenal (we had ours at Steam Whistle). The hour was a blur but the whole team were very helpful from the emails, setting up couple portals and the day of wedding. You and your guests literally just need to show up and they will take care of the rest! definitely recommend for all the bride/groom to be’s :)

Fantastic experience: We won an elopement package! We didn’t have much notice, only a week but we managed to get all our ducks in a row to make it happen. The popupchapel staff was very helpful and nice to work with. They made the experience pretty easy and painless. Focus on getting there on time looking your best and they do the rest. I especially liked the specific direction during thé photoshoot. My husband is usually not keen on pictures and he really liked her instruction. The decor was very tasteful, the proceedings were organized and the vows were amazing. The elopement package goes very quickly, some might say too fast so I recommend planning a celebratory evening of some kind to keep the party and good times going. We went to high park took more pictures and treated ourselves to a nice dinner. Very nice experience. Thank you popupchapel!!!

We knew we wanted a stress-free small wedding, but we still wanted beautiful photos at a nice venue. I get stressed easily, and I knew planning a wedding would be too much for me. So when I came across the Pop-Up Chapel, it was a perfect match. It checked all of our boxes and more! When people heard about our wedding plans, they said we must be so easy going and trusting to not even know what our venue would look like or who our vendors would be. But honestly, I‘ve never had so much trust in a company before. I knew we were in good hands based on our initial Q&A webinar, their Instagram photos, and other reviews. I knew we had absolutely nothing to worry about and they would do a fantastic job. AND THEY DID IT! Our wedding day was absolutely perfect! Everything was so well organized, our guests were so impressed. We’ve already had a few of them talk about wanting to do their weddings with the Pop-Up Chapel. Nothing felt rushed and everything was set up beautifully. You feel like that space and time is yours. Our officiant, Kim, was wonderful and set the tone of the wedding. Our photographers, Laura and Camila, made us feel so comfortable. The Pop-Up Chapel staff were friendly and organized. For anyone that’s on the fence about booking, don’t be, you will not regret your choice!

From beginning to end, our wedding was flawless. Excellent communication leading up to the big day via email. Once the day had come, they had everything under control which is actually a huge relief. All we had to do was show up with our guests, our wedding license, and they did the rest. Everyone kept saying how beautiful the decor was. The florals were DIVINE. 10/10... totally recommend choosing a micro wedding and going with Pop-Up Chapel for a truly stress-free wedding.

Positive experience: Great overall experience and would recommend again. 4 stars vs 5 because there were a few things that were missed/unclear -We did not have a first dance (unsure of if/when that was supposed to happen) -Would have appreciated if the coordinator helped us more to guide us through those moments (same for cake cutting…we asked if we should do it vs coordinator telling us) -flower inspiration was asked but nowhere near the final result…was a nice bouquet but not close to what I had in mind. I think a call (vs the 1pager email that is auto sent) before the day to go over the exact timing of the day would solve these things. There are options to book a call at any time but I think it should be included as mandatory the day before (similar to a wedding rehearsal idea)….you are the experts vs the couple who don’t know what to expect/what to ask. Again, it was a lovely day and glad that we did it, just some fine tuning ideas for the future

Fantastic experience: Truly cannot recommend the pop up chapel enough! They took away the work and stress of planning a wedding and made it super easy for every step. The team was very professional and quick to respond to every email we sent, and we couldn’t believe that we had our wedding planned and booked within a day. All of our friends and family members that attended the ceremony could not believe how great it was (we even inspired some friends to consider doing the same). The decorations and flowers were beautiful, and having live music play while we walked down the isle was the perfect touch. The timeline for everything was also great, nothing felt rushed and we knew we didn’t want a long ceremony anyways, but it was great to immediately start cocktail hour and be able to mingle with guests once the ceremony was over. The snacks were great and the photographer and videographer really made us comfortable, I could truly go on and on about how perfect everything was.

Fantastic experience: I found my perfect partner and, thanks to The Pop-Up Chapel, we had our perfect wedding. I found it remarkable how responsive the team was leading up to the date and how effortless the whole ordeal was for us. Personally, I'm a Project Manager by career and spirit so I still over-thought the after-party which was just enough nonsensical detail to remind me just how appreciative I was to have the ceremony completely cared for. I couldn't be happier with how everything was managed day of and now that the photos are beginning to stream in, I am more grateful than ever to have had such a stunning location and talented vendors (in our budget and booked 6 months out!).

Everything went smoothly from the moment we arrived at the venue (which was beautifully decorated) - Giovanna and Juliana explained everything to us and we had nothing to worry about. All our guests were told where to go, and enjoyed themselves with the Chapel experience. I had provided floral inspiration photos and my bouquet was so pretty. Our photographer Cassie was amazing - she captured family group photos during our reception and made us feel comfortable and have fun during our couples photos. We are so happy we chose to get married with the Pop-Up Chapel! It was perfect for us since we wanted a lovely intimate wedding ceremony with our family there with us, but without all the fuss of planning a whole wedding ourselves!
