You made the entire experience seamless, from start to finish, and handled everything with such professionalism and care. I truly cannot recommend Inspired Elegance enough. If you think you can manage without a wedding planner, I can confidently say it will never be as smooth, stress-free, or as beautifully executed as it was with Sheila and her team by my side. My day was absolutely perfect, and I’m endlessly grateful.

Fantastic experience: I cannot say enough good things about Sheila and Inspired Elegance. If it wasn’t for her, my wedding day would’ve honestly been a mess! I had never been in a wedding party before (and neither had my husband) so we weren’t even sure where to begin when it came to planning. She met with us multiple times to discuss our day, she created a to do list and reminded us about things we needed to get checked off, she helped us create a day of time line, she picked up our wedding cake, our late night snack and anything else we needed last minute! Sheila insured all of our vendors were on the same page and knew when they needed to be at our venue for set up. The basically paid and signed contracts, then Sheila would do the rest of the communication with the vendors for me! I could write an entire novel on things that she helped me with. It was such a smooth running day, with no hiccups - if there was any hiccups, she dealt with them and I never even noticed! My favourite part of having Sheila at our wedding, was whenever she noticed I was getting a tad overwhelmed, she would come over - give me a hug & remind me to take a deep breath. Then she’d send my husband on a little walk without anyone else so that we could step away for five minutes and enjoy the moment with each other! Having Inspired Elegance by my side on our big day, made me feel so confident and stress free. Everyone kept saying that I was the most chill bride the day of and all I kept saying was, you can thank Sheila for that! Sheila, we love you so much and are so thankful for you. Our wedding would not have been possible without you and your wonderful team! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Fantastic experience: Working with Sheila was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. From day one, she understood our vision and brought it to life in ways we hadn’t even imagined. She anticipated things before we even thought of them, kept us calm when we were stressed, and made sure we actually enjoyed the journey to our wedding day. Fantastic experience: My husband and I have said to each other countless times that hiring Sheila was one of the best decisions we could have made while planning our September 2023 wedding. It’s not an exaggeration to say that she saved our wedding, and without her I’m not sure that our vision would have come to life. Some context - we didn’t initially hire a wedding planner/coordinator as this service was included with our venue. But when our venue unexpectedly cancelled on us about 2 months out from our wedding date, we were completely lost and heartbroken. We scrambled and contacted every wedding planner in the city - Sheila responded to us immediately despite being on holidays with her family and made us feel supported in a very unsettling time. Sheila helped us during the planning process in countless ways, from finding chair, furniture and linen rentals last minute (which is very challenging during peak wedding season!), creating our day-of timeline, helping us with the layout for our ceremony and reception spaces, and coordinating our vendors beforehand and the day of our wedding. On the day of, Sheila ensured our vision came to life and her attention to detail was really remarkable. She was super organized and gave us a lot of helpful input. She suggested that we take a few moments just the two of us immediately after the ceremony and arranged for us to have a glass of bubbly and some hors d’oevres in a quiet space - this ended up being one of our favourite moments of the day. Sheila communicated clearly throughout the process, and always got back to us quickly. She is super knowledgeable about the local wedding industry and has lots of experience.There were a few hiccups the day of with the venue (not her fault) and Sheila handled them immediately and professionally and kept us in the loop. I cannot recommend Sheila enough. Our wedding day was amazing, in no small part because of her!

Negative experience: I feel compelled to express my deep disappointment with Sheila’s handling of Leena and Gene’s wedding. Leena and Gene are two of the most reasonable and understanding people I know, yet they endured significant emotional distress due to Sheila’s actions. I gain no pleasure in leaving a negative review, but I felt compelled to do so because of the complete lack of accountability. I’m writing this out of care for my friends, who deserved far better during what should have been one of the happiest times of their lives. From the start, Sheila wasn’t proactive in her planning, leaving Leena and Gene to repeatedly chase her for updates, which added unnecessary stress. On the wedding day, Sheila left to attend another event without informing anyone, leading to confusion when her presence was needed most. To make matters worse, she later attempted to cover up her absence, which left a bad taste in my mouth. It felt dishonest, and I was honestly shocked when I heard what had happened. One of the most upsetting aspects was the mishandling of the seating arrangements. Leena and Gene always treat their elders with the utmost care and respect, so it was especially distressing when their elders were seated in the back, unable to see the ceremony. They were supposed to be seated in the front, as had been planned and assured by Sheila, but this crucial oversight caused immense stress for a couple who had gone to great lengths to ensure everyone could be part of their special day. After the wedding, instead of addressing these concerns, Sheila failed to take meaningful responsibility or resolve the situation. The emotional impact of these actions has extended far beyond the wedding day, leaving not just Leena and Gene, but also their family and friends, feeling hurt and disappointed. What’s even more troubling is the apparent attempt to drown out negative feedback by soliciting positive reviews, rather than addressing the real issues. A wedding is a once-in-a-lifetime event, and it deserved much more care and attention than Sheila provided.

Negative experience: If I could give 0 stars, I would. I am beyond disgusted with Sheila from Inspired Elegance and the utter disaster she created for my cousin Leena and Gene’s wedding. Hiring her was supposed to make everything easier, but instead, it was an absolute nightmare. From start to finish, she misled us, mismanaged the wedding, and then had the audacity to disappear in the middle of the event to attend ANOTHER wedding on the same day! Who does that? She assured Leena and Gene that their wedding day was her top priority and that she wouldn’t book another event. It was all lies. Sheila abandoned the wedding when she was needed the most. I can't begin to express the damage she caused. Important family members who flew in from around the world were seated in the corners of the reception hall, completely disregarding our cultural traditions and detailed seating plans. Elders who should have been at the front were insultingly sidelined because Sheila didn’t communicate anything to her staff. The emotional toll this caused on the couple and the embarrassment they had to endure, apologizing to hurt family members throughout their wedding day, was heartbreaking. There were countless other mistakes, for example, she didn't prepare the prayer spaces they requested, ignored detailed plans for ceremony seating, sent a sloppy itinerary with mistakes, and even left out crucial wedding party members. It was a mess from start to finish. Even worse, Sheila completely ghosted them after the wedding. When she finally responded weeks later, instead of owning up to her massive failures, she made excuses and blamed personal issues instead of offering solutions. Sheila presented herself as caring, organized, and professional, but it was all FAKE. This was not just incompetence; it was blatant dishonesty. Do yourself a favour, don’t even consider hiring Sheila or Inspired Elegance unless you want your wedding to be a complete disaster. She will ruin your special day and leave you with regrets and heartbreak. What's even more concerning is the sudden spike in five-star reviews. Prior to Leena and Gene’s wedding, Sheila’s business had a consistent pattern: 2 to 5 reviews per year, with the last review being over a year ago. Yet, in 2024, she somehow received 20 glowing reviews all within the same week. This sharp increase, especially following a negative review, raises serious questions about the authenticity of these ratings. Something simply doesn't add up, and I would urge anyone considering her services to proceed with extreme caution.

From the initial planning stages to the final details on the big day, Sheila's professionalism, creativity, and attention to detail were truly remarkable. Fantastic experience: Being a wedding photographer, I’ve had the privilege of working with Sheila a few times over the years. She is always kind, detail orientated, and on top of everything! She consistently goes above and beyond to make her couples vision come to life. Fantastic experience: If I could give Sheila 10 stars out of 5 I would. We had our wedding on Saturday and could not stop telling people that they need to book Sheila for their events. Sheila helped us when our previous coordinator unfortunately had to cancel 3 months before our wedding. From the day we signed on with Sheila, she was attentive, listened to our every desire for the day, and made recommendations to make our day the exact day we dreamed of. The timeline Sheila created, had every minute accounted for, and when my husband and I changed our mind last minute, we were accommodated. She communicated seamlessly with our vendors – photographer, live band, string quartet, makeup artist, hairdresser, florist, and the venue. The week before my wedding there was no stress, Sheila handled everything, and picked up all the last-minute things I required. Sheila’s motto for her couples is to create a ‘wedding bubble’ this was communicated to our family and bridal party at the rehearsal which Sheila ran to ensure everyone knew what their task was for the big day. The wedding bubble Sheila created was amazing, she contacted my bridesmaids when there were issues at the venue, and we were blissfully unaware of all the behind-the-scenes happenings. She ensured we were where we needed to be and when to meet our timeline, but never felt rushed. She ensured our very specific vision was completely created for the day of our wedding, and as a type -a bride this was huge for me. Sheila also checked in throughout the day to ensure we were happy. We could not be more grateful for Sheila and her expertise; we cannot recommend her services enough. Our day wouldn’t have been the perfect day it was without her.

Her genuine caring and sensitivity for her clients, and her ability to problem solve on the go creates a calmness that can balance often hectic wedding days. Fantastic experience: Sheila was the most phenomenal wedding planner for our August 2021 wedding. Due to Covid, we had to reschedule our wedding twice and Sheila was so helpful through that process. On the day of our wedding, Sheila made sure that food was available for the wedding party throughout the day and set up the reception room to perfection. After the wedding, when we were having difficulties with our photographer, Sheila assisted us with navigating the situation and got us our photos ASAP. I would recommend Sheila to anyone!

Negative experience: Trusting Sheila is one of the biggest regrets of my life. We hired Sheila from Inspired Elegance as a full service planner to assist with our out of town wedding. I have to say that the wedding planning experience caused an incredible amount of stress and was the complete opposite of the supportive experience we were told we would get. Sheila was incredibly passive during the process.  We had to initiate, follow up on almost every point of contact. She almost never checked in, followed up or offered us any meaningful support, or guidance. The month before the wedding we both got seriously ill and we were starting to become concerned by her lack of involvement. I was disappointed that we had hired a full service planner and yet somehow I had to plan pretty much everything myself. Still I hoped she would be of assistance on the day itself. Sheila sold herself on how she protected her time for her couples and rarely if ever booked two weddings on the same week let alone the same day. We were shocked when it slipped out from one of her staff members that she actually missed large sections of our wedding day because she had left to attend  another large wedding and not even informed us. Several major issues occurred during the ceremony and reception and neither we nor her staff could locate her anywhere. This left us feeling totally confused, misled, and unsupported. There were major seating issues during the ceremony and reception that we ended up having to apologize for publicly. She set up the ceremony wrong despite detailed instructions. She was unprepared for the group photographs despite the fact that we had given her a detailed shot list far in advance. She did not secure the location that the photographer had requested so we needed to use a less desirable location. On two separate occasions we had requested certain prayer spaces be set up (and this was in the itinerary) but this never happened at all. She sent us an itinerary to print that included a mixture of wrong (old) and new details, spelled the mother of the bride’s name wrong and left out certain grooms’ party members completely.. causing confusion. We rented umbrellas and she offered to pick them up but never checked them and 10% of them were broken and unusable. She never sent the final budget and yet she kept pushing us to spend more money saying there was room in the budget (which we never saw). She upsold us on artificial “silk” cherry blossoms from her vendor saying they were high quality, but they ended up being the same cheap plastic as ones we had considered getting online. She advised us not to use Canva, saying that her printers had problems with it in the past but not doing so almost doubled our printing costs. When we provided our feedback regarding our concerns, she did not respond for a very long time and when she eventually answered, she offered no real apology let alone restitution of any kind. Instead, she wrote a passive aggressive response, made a bunch of excuses about her personal life, tried to make excuses for having double booked two weddings and accidentally. She let slip that she had known from the beginning (February) that she had two weddings. When she had staffing issues just before the wedding she said that she chose not to tell us that she would be missing large parts of our event so as not to cause “additional stress”. She then tried to blame us for all her mistakes, and made some passive aggressive comments rather than taking responsibility for her lapses in honest and lackluster organization and communication. The issues that occurred caused some serious family strain and I am still processing the trauma of having our ceremony in front of 32 empty aisle seats (with only our parents in the front row because they were in the procession), while our Elders were shoved in the corner, barely able to see. I sincerely hope no other couple has to suffer the way we did.

Fantastic experience: I have done many events with Sheila and she seems to fall in love with each couple❤its wonderful to witness. I recently did a weeklong wedding and on the final pickup on Sunday there she was wishing the couple well with big hugs !!! If you are looking for a stess free event she is your person .Highly recommend

She provided full service planning for our multi day Indian fusion wedding in August 2024 and we have nothing but positive things to say about the experience. Even with residing in Vancouver, Sheila was available to us whenever we needed and also offered her most honest and professional opinion for any matter both big or small which we really appreciated. We felt supported especially as the events drew nearer and we knew things were taken care of. Fantastic experience: My husband and I planned our wedding with Sheila while living in Edmonton in 2022. This was one of best decisions we could have made because this made the long distance planning so seamless! Sheila set up regular meetings with us, set schedules for us to make decisions, helped us narrow down all of our vendors, and planned each event to perfection. I had some inspo for the decor and she helped us execute it beautifully. She was easily accessible to answer questions and during the week she was our rock. We felt like we could breeze through our events without any worry because we knew Sheila was taking care of everything behind the scenes. I couldn’t recommend her more!

Fantastic experience: We worked with Sheila for our wedding day and it was one of the best decisions we made toward making our day a memorable success. We had a tight timeline for planning (9 months) and Sheila recommended amazing, professional vendors that took so much of the stress out of searching for and securing the details of our day. She helped us carefully plan our menu and the wine/beverage list (she is so well versed in this!) as well as curated thoughtful late night snack ideas that were a wonderful mix of our two backgrounds. Sheila made every step of the process easy and her commitment to her clients is evident from every interaction. I highly recommend Sheila and Inspired Elegance.

Negative experience: My wife and I both live out of town but we were planning a wedding in Winnipeg and we decided to spend the extra money to hire a full service wedding planner to make things go as smoothly as possible.We chose Sheila from Inspired Elegance primarily because she assured us that she had lots of experience and would personally plan and support our weddings day herself at every step. She indicated that she had protected the weekend so that she could personally focus on our event. As a professional photographer in the wedding industry, I have witnessed and experienced many weddings over the years and I’ve seen my fair share of wedding day mistakes. However I was unprepared for the series of errors and dishonesty on the part of our wedding planner that left me utterly embarrassed and honestly furious. There were a series of problems that occurred, but one in particular stands out for me: My partner and I had carefully planned our multicultural wedding, which combined elements of our South Asian and East Asian traditions. Seating arrangements were of utmost importance to us, as they hold great significance in our cultures. Sheila stated that she had planned many south asian weddings and understood this. We provided her with a detailed floor plan for the ceremony and a seating chart for the reception weeks before the wedding and followed this up with another email re-stating the same information. I also personally reached out to her via text message about the seating plan, and offered to provide her with a detailed table map to make sure it was totally clear. She specifically told us we should not provide a map of the tables and assured us that everything was in order. Unfortunately, this was not the case. On our wedding day, when we entered our wedding reception, we realized to our horror that our most important guests, including our Elders and close family members, were in the corners and edges of the room. To our utter dismay, Sheila had not communicated our seating plan to the caterers and had set up the default seating plan.. Many of these guests had traveled long distances from Bangladesh, Melbourne, and even drove over two days from Chicago to attend our wedding. They were deeply hurt and angered by the disrespect shown to them, which led to significant emotional distress for both our guests and us. We had to apologize to over forty people during and after the wedding, causing immense embarrassment and severely detracting from our enjoyment of our special day. The emotional toll extended well beyond the wedding, as we had to meet with different family members in the days following to explain the error and offer our sincerest apologies. As I mentioned we understand that errors occur but neither Sheila nor her staff noticed the glaring seating error. When we tried to locate Sheila to discuss the issue, she was nowhere to be found and this was not the first time that she had disappeared for extended periods of time. Her staff member, Tessa, was unable to provide any explanation for the seating error but assured us that she would inform Sheila and that Sheila would get back to us as soon as possible.Sheila never got back to us about the mistake until a month or more later when she finally responded to our messages. This is only one of several issues that occurred, in fact, we discovered that Sheila was missing during our event because she had taken on a second wedding without informing us and due to a staffing issue had split her time. In my view, seating the guests according to the seating plan falls squarely within her purview as a full service wedding planner and she was also dishonest with us about her commitment to our wedding. I am deeply disappointed with Sheila's lack of professionalism and the negative impact her incompetence had on our wedding day and I am sharing this experience so that other couples can avoid having a similar experience. I do not recommend hiring Sheila or Inspired Elegance for your wedding or for any other event.

Fantastic experience: Inspired Elegance Events helped us plan our wedding from the start to and was with us the whole day of. She thought of everything and her experience showed in the attention to details that would never have crossed my mind. There's no substitute to having a professional thoughtfully taking care to make your big day go smoothly! We felt wholly supported and had such a beautiful and memorable time at our wedding. Fantastic experience: Sheila made our wedding so stress free. We literally just showed up to our wedding and enjoyed the day. She gave us alternatives when some of our vendors were giving us problems, she gave us advice on what would work best, explained everything. Made sure both of our families were seated in the right places and let my wife and I just enjoy our day. We could text her about any little thing and she would help us with it and we felt very comfortable knowing that she was working hard behind the scenes planning our wedding.

Fantastic experience: Sheila has become family at this point. She’s done my wedding and my sister’s wedding which was during Covid. I had no idea where to start when it came to our wedding planning but Sheila was able to come up with design concepts and vendors that suited our tastes and our personalities for the actual wedding day. She arranged all the appointments we needed and scheduled everything in an organized way. She was able to help me include a lot of my family the day of the wedding also because she knew how important that was for me. She helped me when I was anxious the day of the wedding and she was able to handle our big day. I wouldn’t have chosen any other planner. She’s the best ☺️

Negative experience: I was the MC at my best friend’s wedding which took place in July 2024., and so I worked with Sheila before and during the wedding. My experience with her was that she wasn’t very attentive, and left things to the last minute. We also found out last minute that she was working another wedding the same day as ours, even though she told us at first that she’d work with us exclusively on the day of. One major wrinkle in my experience was during the group photos. Her and her team failed to organize the groups properly one after another, and both the groom and I had to step in to make sure that all the guests had a chance to be photographed. The biggest mistake on her end was that she failed to communicate the bride and groom’s seating arrangement to the hotel catering staff, which resulted in the bride’s immediate family and a lot of other important people not being seated where they should. This offended a lot of guests, including the bride’s immediate family, and the bride and groom had to spend a good chunk of their wedding night apologizing to guests for Shiela’s mistake. This effectively left a huge and painful scar on what should have been one of the happiest days of the bride and groom’s life.

Fantastic experience: Sheila was such a pleasure to work with over the two years we planned our wedding and my husband and I both agree she was the best decision we made for our event. The dedication and care she provided along with her expert advice when we were indecisive (often) was priceless. When there was an issue with the hand written signage the day before the wedding, Sheila was able to resolve it quickly without me having to worry about anything. Sheila attended countless vendor and venue appointments with us, was always quick to respond to any questions or concerns we had. Her passion and care lead to a wonderful day where my husband and I didn't have to worry about a single thing. As someone who has worked in hospitality in the past I was so sure I would be concerned with the small things (are the water glasses being filled, is salt and pepper on the tables, etc) on the day of, the things that I had seen at the countless weddings be forgotten over and over. I didn't have to worry as Sheila was on top of it all. I really valued the connections she had in the industry as she was able to help us work with vendors that would fit our budget or our wild ideas and always had great advice to offer. We have recommended her to friends who have also hired her and gushed over how easy and perfect she helped their days turn out. I couldn't recommend her more to anyone planning a wedding!

Fantastic experience: We decided to hire Inspired Elegance Events after meeting Sheila on a tour of our venue. She was extremely knowledgeable from the get go. Sheila was always accommodating with our schedules and we always felt at ease after our meetings with her. The day of our wedding was perfectly planned and executed. Fantastic experience: Working with Sheila was fantastic. She helped us with our wedding at the WAG, which she has a ton of experience with. If you're considering the WAG, I wouldn't go with anyone else, she has great relationships there and knows what works. Leading up to the day, she laid out a road map for a few months before and for the day of wedding. She helped us stay on track, and when we had some challenges with other vendors, Sheila stepped in and took care of it, very professionally and effectively. The day of the wedding, she made everything so easy for us, we didn't worry about a thing. Any bumps during the day, she took care of without worrying us, which meant we were able to enjoy 100% of our wedding day. To sum up, Sheila and her team were fantastic! Her services were well worth it. To do it over again, she would be the first person we call.
