Jill was professional, helpful and SO organized from start to finish. She even provided a set up team to take care of all the set up and tear down. Expérience fantastique: Our wedding planner wasn’t just a planner—she was part fairy godmother, part logistics wizard, part designer extraordinaire, and 100% the coolest human you could ever hope to plan a wedding with. Honestly, if you could bottle her energy, vibe, and professional wedding services, you’d have a best-selling stress relief serum for any wedding. From day one, she made us feel like everything was going to be okay after just the initial consultation with her. We thought we were losing our sanity and had too wild of ideas that may not work, or may be too mismatched for one wedding, but Jill was able to put everything together quickly and we were really looking forward to the planning after just one call. She wasn’t just a wedding planner, but a wedding designer. We wanted to have a forest in the dining hall, incorporate Pokémon into the wedding and also hang flowers out of thin air - she talked to us about how to carry out the ideas and followed up by giving people we can contact. We loved that she also got to know us and recommended things that reflected our playfulness as the planning went along, turning the wedding into something elegant, heartfelt, and beautifully us. Guests kept asking, “Who designed this?” And we proudly pointed at her. But wait, there’s more. Need a food rec in Victoria? She knows a guy. Dreaming of trees with hanging flowers inside the dining hall? Panicking about last minute stationary for the wedding reception? She’ll casually make a call and boom—tree vendors appear like woodland creatures responding to Snow White. She knew everyone on Vancouver Island. And on the big day? She was where you needed her to be, and more. Even though she didn’t need to be there for our early morning make up sessions, she dropped by anyway, just to check in emotionally and to see if there's any last minute thing she could help with. You could trust Jill. Everything went according to plan, and when things needed adjusting, Jill was there for it. She lifted an entire wedding and everything went smoothly. And when the day was done, all we could think was: can we plan another wedding just to hang out with her again? In short: if you want a planner who can design your dream wedding, calm your nervous system, and still be the kind of person you’d split a bottle of wine with at the end of the night—she’s your girl. Absolute legend.

As someone who worked with her as "pen-pals" for almost a year, I cannot recommend Jill and Your Dream Theme Events more. Every step of the way she was knowledgable, informative, professional, and a supportive buddy to cheer me on. She went the extra mile (literally) to drive places and FaceTime me in so I could see it --- always with a smile. She even helped me tie up a few loose ends at the end of it all, even when her services were fully final. She has such a big heart, and was the perfect planner. So incredibly grateful to her! Expérience fantastique: My husband and I live in Vancouver and had our wedding ceremony and reception across Sooke and Victoria. Due to the semi- destination style wedding arrangement with majority of our guests from overseas and Vancouver, it was very important to have a wedding coordinator that is in the region where we need an insider who has good local industry connections and help us execute some errands, communicate or check up with venue or prep up days or weeks leading up to the wedding day. Not only did Jill provided a lot of help and connections for our wedding vendors, she was the person to help us make our vision come true. Dealing with a bride is imaginably a headache task, but I will also be the first to admit that I have a perfectionist personality, and due to being a high functional high capacity person at my own line of work, I have very high expectations for others who I lean on. But Jill was not only amazing to work with, she was very great at listening to the details, remembering those and executing them out which I was impressed with. I highly recommend working with her and she will not only help you with your wedding stress, but help you focus on the most important thing as a bride- stay present and enjoy the moments to your one and only most important person.

Expérience fantastique: We contacted Your Dream Theme Event just less than a year before our wedding and chose them to take care of the décor and design for our Sept 2023 wedding at Olympic View Golf Club. Right from the beginning and throughout the entire process, the team was quick to respond to my e-mails. Crystal was our lead designer and we were in touch with her throughout. She kept us organized by periodically checking in (even when I was procrastinating and would forget to reply). We shared inspo photos through a Pinterest board, then Crystal met up with us in person to go over proposals she had put together with options that brought our vision to life. I was impressed at how closely they were able to recreate what I had found on Pinterest. I also found it helpful to have alternative options available so that we could work around our budget as well. As someone who is does not have a creative mind for visual design, I found Crystal to be extremely helpful in helping me feel at ease, taking care of all the décor planning so I had time to focus on the other aspects of wedding planning. As we got closer to the wedding date, there were things that we had forgotten about (eg. order of events signage, other items we wanted to bring in) and Crystal was very accommodating to our last-minute requests and we are grateful for that! Crystal liaised with the rental vendors as well as the florist so that we did not have to deal with any of it. The design service fee included set up and take down of all décor items and THIS was hugely valuable to us. We knew ahead of time that the stress revolving around the wedding was enough that we didn’t want to have to worry about setting up nor asking friends/family to do that. And at the end of the night, the last thing you want to do is to have to worry about cleaning up all the supplies. We wanted everyone to be able to just show up and enjoy the wedding so having Crystal and the YTD team take care of it all was extremely valuable to us. Overall, we are very happy we chose Crystal and the YTD to handle our décor and design. We highly recommend them to anyone looking to save themselves a ton of stress as they plan their wedding.

Not only did they totally figure out how to extract and execute a theme from a couple who had no clue what they wanted, they handled the entire planning process flawlessly, including many conversations from a loving but demanding family. Our goal was to be as hands off as possible for our wedding planning process and Jill and team totally came through for us. I'm pretty sure I'm the only bride I know who wasn't stressed at all on her wedding day because I knew that everything was completely handled.

These ladies went above and beyond to help us create the wedding of our dreams with only 3 months notice!! We had a last minute issue with out caterer-Jill found us a new caterer 3 weeks out from the wedding. My dress zipper broke as I walked down the isle-Jill safety pinned me into the dress so I could complete the ceremony and then Bree sewed me into the dress with a fishing wire. The whole wedding process down to the wedding day was stress free and fun and is all thanks to Jill and Bree. These girls are on it 24/7. They were so attentive to all of our needs and the needs of our guests and managed everything for us. Hands down-this wedding would not have been possible without them and I am do happy to have worked with them.
