Expérience fantastique: We worked with Melissa Barre from Destination Weddings Victoria for our wedding planning and we truly can’t say enough good things about the experience. Melissa handled "partial planning" for us, checking in and guiding us with monthly calls, promptly responding to our questions in between calls, and then taking the reins completely at the six-week mark, which was exactly what we needed. We went for an elegant, outdoor garden-party aesthetic inspired by Bridgerton. Melissa and her team completely nailed the theme, especially the decor. From the stunning pastel floral arch to the reception setup, every detail was elegant, cohesive, and thoughtfully executed. There were so many small touches that we never would have thought of ourselves, and our guests were blown away. Beyond her design eye, Melissa was friendly, professional, and genuinely calming to work with. Her communication was always reassuring, and she made what could have been a stressful process feel manageable and even enjoyable. She came up with creative solutions to anything that came up along the way to ensure every element of our wedding day dreams came to life. It’s clear she’s seen it all before and knew exactly how to handle everything so smoothly that our day went off without a single hitch. Melissa was our wedding planner for over a year and she was amazing at helping us navigate our wedding during the pandemic. Plans were changed quite a bit and Melissa was always incredibly helpful in coming up with new and creative ways of moving forward. She was very flexible with meetings and discussions about our wedding and was so accommodating with our busy schedule. She was so professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and kind, and we formed an amazing bond working together. If you are planning a wedding in Victoria, I highly recommend Melissa, she is truly amazing at what she does! Linda provided the most gorgeous decorations as well, and made our special day beyond beautiful. She was also incredibly kind and accommodating and a true professional. Expérience fantastique: Originally, my wife and I didn't really think that we would value the services of a wedding planner, but we soon learned how ignorant we were. Melissa really helped ensure that our wedding was as smooth as it could be and while we were busy enjoying ourselves to the fullest on our wedding day she would check in on us and guide us to whatever the next step was during the day. As for preparations beforehand, she did a great job of taking a big picture view of our wedding, but where necessary had great attention to detail. She coached and guided us when it was needed and gave us space when appropriate. If you're going to have your wedding on the island I would STRONGLY encourage you to hire Melissa.

Everything from the Location to the flowers, the coordination and decor, everything was perfect. Such an amazing day. We were pleasantly surprised by what our coordinator was able to do within our budget. Great communication, we had absolutely nothing to worry about, everything was taken care of!

Expérience fantastique: After almost a year after getting married, we have had some time to think back to the amazing day we said "I do". Thinking back it is safe to say the day would not nearly been as special without Melissa. She communicated very well leading up to and on the day of the wedding, and really was the person who made sure the ship sailed forward. It was a stress free and exciting day and really it was Melissa who was able to do the work to make sure all went well. Melissa went out of her way many times (we live on the East Coast and were married in Sooke), so you could imagine how many nightmares could have come but thanks to Melissa and her planning - travelling almost 5,550 km was well worth it. Melissa was able to provide thoughtful tips to make our day special and was great with the vendors. Thank you Melissa - you have made us remember such an amazing day with so many positives!

Expérience négative: This company has been completely unprofessional in their communications and efforts following a spring wedding ceremony. In a wedding service they organized, my veil was lost. When I asked for help, Melissa not only gave different stories about what happened to different people, but told me to not fuss so much over "a piece of cloth." She then refused to tell me the names of any third-party companies she hired for the ceremony, which I hoped to have so that I could follow up with them myself. When I pressed again about how important the veil is to me, she simply stopped communicating with me. Absolutely rude and immature.

Expérience fantastique: We had the privilege of working with Melissa and Linda over the past few months in preparation for our daughter's wedding. The wedding was this past Sunday, May 20th. I can't say enough about what an outstanding job Linda did with the set up, decorating and clean up. She completely caught my vision and was so attentive to every detail. I had no idea how important a wedding planner could be. Melissa was indispensable. She was so warm and calm but very organized and detailed. She kept all of us on task and schedule in such an efficient way. She continually gave us good advice about so many things we didn't even think about. Both Linda and Melissa helped to make it a perfect day. I was so grateful to just be the mother of the bride.

Essentially all we had to do was show up!!! We got married at a special location in East Sooke Park with our parents and dearest friends.
