From the very beginning, Stephanie took the time to truly get to know us and helped us craft vows that felt deeply personal and authentic to our relationship. Fantastic experience: Stephanie was an amazing officiant for our wedding. From even before the planning process, when we researched all possibilities for our officiant, we loved her work and profile so much, that we were nervous she might not be available for our big day.. We truly had no plan B, and was extremely happy to have her officiate our wedding. Well, now that our wedding has officially happened, I can't recommend her enough. She surpassed all the lofty expectations we had for her, and delivered on our shared vision perfectly. From the custom ceremony that included content from interviewing us, and also our closest friends, she made the the ceremony engaging, bright and memorable for all of us including the guests. Also, Stephanie being a planner herself, all the weeks leading up to the ceremony, she gave us tidbits here and there to make us feel more at ease, and was a star at our rehearsal, making sure the wedding party was ready. We feel extremely lucky to have had her officiate our wedding and can't wait to replay the videos of our wedding on each anniversary listening to her voice!

Fantastic experience: 3 months post wedding and I’m finally getting around to sharing all the reflection I’ve been doing of our amazing experience with Sweetheart Events. We were privileged to work with Stephanie leading up to our special day, and both my husband and I agree it was the best decision we made in the whole process of getting hitched. Stephanie was able to make all of the daunting to-dos fun and so much easier. We wouldn’t have seen all of the incredible options for vendors, venues and everything in between that aligned with our vision if we didn’t have Steph bringing them to our attention. Fantastic experience: Curtis & I were completely blown away by Kay and the Sweetheart Events team. We are so incredibly lucky to have met such genuine caring people who have poured their heart and soul into making our special day meaningful for us. Upon meeting Kay, we clicked instantly and felt so supported in all the decision making in our wedding planning journey. Her reassuring, calming, and extremely organized type A personality helped alleviate all our anxiety in the whole process. It felt like she was truly family and an older sister figure. We could not have been more lucky to have her as our wedding planner. Months after our wedding, we look back and genuinely would not have imagined any part of this process without her. Kay made all our dreams come true and we felt so taken care of. We were obsessed with how the reception space, stationary, and decor came out. Curtis and I were tearing up at the sight of our reception space reveal and cannot believe how Kay curated our dream wedding with every beautiful and intentional detail. From the personalized lemonade and water bottles at our ceremony to the pearl fruit styling details and cozy lamps on our reception tables, she truly outdid herself. Her, along with Stephanie and the rest of the team have exceeded all our expectations. What a dream come true.

Fantastic experience: We booked Samantha as our wedding coordinator and Kay to do our wedding stationary and they were both so kind, sweet and fun! Samantha kept everything organized for us (what an angel) even when my husband and I started to get really overwhelmed by all the planning and stopped paying attention to what we were supposed to be organizing (again…. She’s an angel). Kay was super quick to turn around our wedding stationary on short notice and her kindness was much appreciated! On both the day of and the wedding rehearsal, they made us feel super comfortable and at ease; and they reassured us that they’ve got this. They really did! Everything went so smoothly and we had the best day ever thanks to those two beauties. Highly recommend Sweetheartevents! :)

Fantastic experience: Kay and the SHE Team did an incredible job for our special day at the end of Sept 2025. We went with the finishing touch package as we enjoyed the process and wanted to be involved in the wedding process. The personalized online planning workbook and touch point calls really helped us during the planning process. It wasn't until a month out we started to get nervous. That is when Kay stepped in and ensured us the day was going to be perfect. She really delivered the perfect day for us. We didn't have to worry about anything and knew we were in good hands. On top of that she also customized all of our stationary for our rehearsal dinner and the wedding day! Thank you again Kay, Stephanie and the SHE Team for supporting us over the past year. Fantastic experience: Stephanie and her team are the definition of 'above and beyond', they truly did everything to make our wedding as memorable and seamless as we could hope. They made us feel really comfortable, great communication, and provided many potential avenues to go down while still keeping the day feeling like 'our own'. Anything we didn't specify or were unsure about, she was right there to jump in with something that suited us perfectly. They were also right ontop of things, there was a moment where we forgot something at home, and they made sure to go and pick it up for us so as to not distract from our day. Stephanie was also our officiant, and she gave a very meaningful custom speech during the ceromony that matched the style and emotions we wanted to capture. Can't recommend this team enough!

Fantastic experience: Stephanie was incredible! From every phone call and email to confidently leading our rehearsal filled with family. She has a true gift for bringing ceremonies to life through her personal touch and attention to detail. I really wanted repeat after me vows, and she helped to personalize them and make them true to us. While much of the ceremony felt like a beautiful blur in the moment, I’ve been able to relive it through our photos and videos. One detail I do clearly remember, though, is walking down the aisle scattered with white rose petals. This was something that meant a lot to me. Our venue didn’t allow real petals due to potential floor damage, but Stephanie advocated for our vision and suggested using dried rose petals instead. She even helped us source them, and they looked absolutely stunning. We couldn’t imagine our day without her!

Fantastic experience: Could not recommend this team more. Seriously, look no further and choose Sweetheart Events! They are an extremely reasonable price and provide IMMENSE value. We planned our wedding remotely from the US and worked with Kay. Initially we chose a month of package because we're pretty organized and down to do the (figuratively speaking) heavy lifting. After a couple of months in we realized we were a bit over our head— we were receiving quotes from vendors that felt astronomical but we also weren't sure if we were getting our money's worth (did we order enough lamps? is the space still going to feel empty even after we spend all this money?). We ended up upgrading our package with Kay so she could help manage this piece for us. Because of her knowledge and skills she ended up saving us money & the package upgrade paid for itself. It sounds cliche but she truly helped us design the wedding of our dreams and she was SO fun to work with. I also want to shout out the Sweetheart team that was there day of, specifically Lauren. While Kay was overseeing everything, the assistants were truly the ones hands on interacting with us, bringing us drinks and food, etc. We were truly blown away by them and want to specifically shout out Lauren. At the end of the night she had packaged together a box with personal items such as extra personalized napkins we had made to save as a momento, our cleaned cake topper and bride/groom glasses, and polaroids from around the room. We also brought film cameras which she noticed folks weren't using so she personally went around and captured pics throughout the night to make sure they were used. Days after the wedding when I was debriefing the event with friends/relatives, I had multiple people totally unprompted mention how incredible and hands on Lauren and the Sweetheart team was! Thank you, thank you!!

Fantastic experience: 5 stars doesn’t seem like enough for Sweetheart Events - I wish we could give them 500 stars. We worked with Sweetheart in two ways for our wedding: first, Stephanie married us (I’ll get to that later!) and Sam was our coordinator. Although we initially didn’t know if we needed a wedding coordinator for our out-of-province wedding, from the moment we met with Sweetheart and Sam, we knew they were the crucial part missing in our wedding planning. We can’t fully capture how supportive, thoughtful, flexible, and incredible Sam was. Our wedding day went PERFECTLY! Sam and her team were so on top of every single detail, and somehow everywhere all at once. From remembering our favorite drinks, to pep talks before walking down the aisle, to taking care of our guest’s allergies, to scoping out the best photo spots, ALL vendor coordination and a thousand things in between, all we had to worry about on our wedding day was having a great time. Pivoting to Stephanie - our officiant and (declared by us) record holder for best officiant of all time. Stephanie worked with us to build our ceremony that felt like us, captured our love, and integrated thoughtful words and sentiments from our loved ones. It felt like Stephanie knew us for years - despite only meeting us in person the day before our wedding day. Stephanie truly helped us remember that our ceremony is the real reason we are here, and she was incredible to work with. We wish we could get married twice just to work with Sweetheart Events again. If you’re on the fence about hiring a wedding coordinator, let this review be the reason you meet with Sweetheart Events - you won’t regret it.

Fantastic experience: We were paired with Sam as our day-of coordinator, and it couldn’t have been a better twin match - we instantly connected with her and had such a positive experience from start to finish! She was incredibly accommodating, helpful, and professional throughout the planning process. She is very knowledgeable, answered all of our questions in a timely manner, hyped us up when we were feeling nervous, and reassured us whenever we got overwhelmed. On the day of our wedding, she remained calm throughout, problem-solved quickly, and made everything run so smoothly. But the cherry on top is that Sam was also extremely fun and easy to talk to that it felt like a close friend was running the day for us :) Hiring Sam was hands down the best money we spent for our wedding, we can’t recommend Sweetheart Events enough!!

Fantastic experience: We were lucky to have Steph from Sweetheart Events be our wedding coordinator and officiant. The entire process, from how do I book a venue, to closing out the tab at the end of the wedding night, Steph was there. She is the most patient, professional, organized, and most importantly, fun person you'll meet. As an officiant, Steph held a beautiful ceremony. It was clear that she spent a lot of time and effort getting to know us and interviewing those closest to us. She is an excellent writer and speaker. The entire wedding day, we were able to be fully immersed in the moment without any distractions as Steph had us covered. Her team kept everything on time, on plan, and looking amazing. Vendors, photos, speeches, dinner changeover, welcome tables, the DJ, and every other tiny detail they have your back on. Forgot to get a platter for your cake? Steph has you covered. Worried about what to write, and how to deliver your vows? Steph has you covered. Need someone to help fix a broken bustle 5-minutes before the first dance? Steph has you covered. Its very clear that Steph has been in the industry for a long time, and it shows as she'll ask questions that you didn't even consider. Getting those details out in advance allowed us to have the wedding of our dreams. I cannot recommend enough Steph and her team. THANK YOU STEPH!!!

Fantastic experience: Best Experience EVER. From planning the wedding to our BEST DAY EVER, I will be forever grateful for all Stephanie has done for us. I'm the Happiest Husband right now and I had the best Wedding and Bridal Shower. This is the best company to hire for Weddings and Events. I would give 5 million stars if I could. Fantastic experience: After 26 years of living together, we decided to make it legal as married couple. Stephanie Reitsma is so professional and wonderful wedding officiant and event coordinator. She guided us step by step on what to do, and what to expect. From the first zoom meeting to the day of our short ceremony, right there by the dinner table in the restaurant, (the ‘I Do’, ring, and signing of papers), witness by our own children and grandchildren, she was gracious and poised to get the job done!. Two and a half decade of wondering and waiting was replaced by our dream fulfilled to call each other husband and wife, in just over a month preparation. Fantastic experience: 100% recommend! Stephanie has this personality that can make your elopemen/ceremonyt feel exciting and really bring the love in the air. Communication skills were on point. The moment we met her we knew she needed to be our officiant. She personalized our ceremony, she was very organized and on top of the details of what happens before, during and after. On top of everything, she IS NOT monotone and boring! Her bubbly personality shines through and made our witnesses feel excited as well! It made our special moment together that much better!

Fantastic experience: Stephanie was so much more than a Day-of-Coordinator. We’ll go through how Sweetheart Events killed it from beginning to end. First, we reached out to every preferred Planner from our Venue’s list and Sweetheart Events was the most earnest to engage. Their website emphasized planning not just the wedding, but also a marriage, so we were already getting the feeling that they put a lot of care into every couple. We had a magical first meeting with Kay, then we blindsided her with a change of wedding date. Stephanie, Sweetheart Event’s founder, jumped in to help us. Following them on Instagram, we quickly learned how much every Sweetheart Events planner loves and supports each other. We were off and flying with their incredible planning sheet and booked every vendor within a month. Every meeting with Stephanie ran over an hour because we had so many questions. She never once made us feel like a burden, made us feel bad about asking questions before she was fully onboarded, or seemed overwhelmed by our documentation (there were a lot of lists and files). We had our 2nd meeting together in Vancouver where she gave us the best advice on how to talk to staff during the tasting and most importantly to enjoy this once in a lifetime moment and record our feelings before and after. We still watch those videos back. When Stephanie fully onboarded two months before the wedding, coincidently things finally got hard. She handled all of the challenging conversations so that we could focus on our DIY projects. I was able to text her updates and she was like a best friend, always obsessed with the progress and encouraging. I couldn’t share with my own best friends because I wanted to blow their minds when they saw everything at the wedding. It was such a gift having Stephanie to confide in. No one thinks a rehearsal is going to be fun. Everyone was absolutely charmed by Stephanie and HANGING on her every word/advice. We have never seen our families listen to anyone like the way they listened to her. It takes someone really special to get the 2 year old AND mom that doesn’t speak English to listen closely. She came up with one of the most special moments of the wedding: have the officiant step aside and let the ring bearer stand front and center to give the bride and groom their rings. It was movie magic. She was incredibly patient, drove one hour to the rehearsal, waited for late family members, brought AND dropped off the flowers at the Airbnb; not fazed or complaining once. Other vendors made so many last minute changes to Stephanie’s schedule, introduced new ideas 2 weeks before go time, and she handled it all with enormous grace. She and her assistants acted like our maid of honors at the wedding, bringing the bride champagne, making sure the bride looks flawless; all while juggling real coordination like keeping family from destroying the reception hall with bags and trouble shooting last minute difficulties from the venue. They were so incredibly thoughtful during every moment of the wedding day, it brought the bride to tears. Stephanie also MC-ed (not her job but she goes above and beyond). We definitely noticed how quickly she fixed the song when we missed our dance cue. She did it so smoothly, no guests noticed. Then, they ended the BEAST of a day at 2 AM. Picking Sweetheart Events is the best choice we ever made (besides picking each other). We just love them and are so happy to follow their success as they bring joy to so many other couples. Fantastic experience: We had the 'Finishing Touch' (month of coordination) package for our July wedding and got to work with Riley as our coordinator. From our first call with Steph early in the wedding planning process, to working with Riley up until the big day, Sweetheart Events was fantastic to work with. Riley was very helpful and responsive to all our questions even before she "officially" took over, and once she took over two months out it we knew we were in very capable hands. It was such a relief to not have to worry about anything on the day, as Riley and her team had every little detail covered. We didn't have a videographer, so the Sweetheart team also went out of their way to capture videos of moments throughout the day. We'd highly recommend Riley and the Sweetheart team to anyone planning a wedding - we couldn't of had our dream day without them!

Fantastic experience: What an incredible and seamless experience! From our first meeting with Stephanie to getting assigned our wedding planner Sam - just wow! I never thought as a bride you can get through your entire wedding with zero stress. Sam was super attentive to every detail and had everything perfectly organized. Fantastic experience: We hired Sweetheart Events to help plan our big day and it was the best decision we made!! The wedding process was overwhelming - all these little things and timelines that you would never think of. We knew that with full time careers, we didn't want the wedding to feel like a chore. Drum roll & roll out the red carpet for Shawna! She was the absolute best! Shawna helped with everything and anything and was an absolute dream to work with. Need someone to do invitations? Shawna has a list. Need DJ recommendations? Shawna has dozens. Need to create kid activity boxes a week before the wedding? Shawna's got it! Shawna kept us on budget, gave us her opinions, came to appointments with the florist and rehearsal, went on crazy hunts for wine glasses I just "had to have" and always brought a smile and positive attitude to each meeting. We were so happy with the end result and guests were blown away! We definitely achieved our number one goal of creating a memorable guest experience. Fantastic experience: I can’t recommend Sweetheart Events enough! Working with Steph was hands down the best decision we made for our wedding. Originally, we hired her as our officiant and I was going to do everything else on my own. I was thrilled to learn she also offered full wedding planning and coordination, so I thought, why not? From that moment on, she completely elevated our original plans in the best way possible, suggesting better locations and vendors thanks to her incredible industry connections. One of the biggest things I appreciated was how she anticipated needs before I even realized them. A perfect example: I decided at the last minute to skip sparklers, but Steph bought them anyway without me asking her, because she had a feeling I’d regret it — and she was right. It was such a magical touch that wouldn’t have happened without her foresight. I was so touched and grateful she went out of her way to do that, because it ended up being one of my favourite photos! She also saved me during a stressful moment just weeks before the wedding when my initial hair and makeup trial didn’t go well. Steph quickly helped me pivot and find another company/artist who was a perfect fit. It felt great to work with someone who already has industry connections and can easily find replacements just a few texts away, whereas it would have taken me days or maybe even weeks to start over on my own, just a week before the wedding. Honestly, she went above and beyond in every area — printing stationery, picking up linens, visiting venues, and meeting vendors and scouting locations on our behalf. I barely had to do anything except provide my vision and approvals, and Steph even helped me clarify that vision along the way. What blew me away most was her coordination. As someone juggling two businesses, I really didn’t have time to manage dozens of vendor conversations. Steph streamlined everything so I only needed to talk to her. Out of everyone we hired for the wedding, Sweetheart Events was by far the most important and my absolute favorite. Steph was the true unsung hero. Without them, the day wouldn’t have gone as smoothly, and the months leading up to it wouldn’t have been nearly as peaceful. If you’re even thinking about hiring them, do it. You will be so glad you did. I am not surprised at all to see all these 5 star reviews.

Fantastic experience: Absolute legend!! From our very first call with Steph, we knew we were in the best hands. We worked with her for nearly two years, and she was incredible every step of the way, organized, thoughtful, and so passionate about what she does. Planning a wedding on the Sunshine Coast (a place we had only visited once!) could have been overwhelming, but Steph found us the most amazing vendors, kept us on track, and brought ideas we never would’ve thought of. On the wedding weekend, we got to meet Lauren too, who was equally amazing, and Kay also joined to help bring all the signage together perfectly. Stephanie was such a wonderful officiant! What's best about her is how she truly takes the time to get to know you as a couple. She met with us prior to the wedding to really understand our story and even took the time to meet with some of our loved ones. As a result, the ceremony that she created was so personal, unique, and thoughtful- some of our guests even thought she was an old friend of ours! She was organized and very intentional in incorporating elements into our ceremony that truly represented our love for one another and our families. She put so much care into each and every word to make sure that it all came together beautifully. Stephanie delivered an incredible ceremony and many of our guests came up afterwards to share how much they enjoyed the atmosphere she created! We had such a great experience working with Kay and Stephanie and could not recommend them enough!!

Fantastic experience: We had Emily as our wedding coordinator planner and she was incredible. Although we only got the Finishing Touch package, we felt so well-supported from the very beginning when we first met Stephanie and Emily. Even though Stephanie is the owner of Sweetheart Events, she was still so involved in our planning/check-in meetings, and this truly meant so much to us. Both Emily and Stephanie provided us with lots of encouragement and reassurance during the planning process, which helped to relieve our wedding planning stress. We also appreciated the detailed planning guide from Sweetheart Events and all of the vendor recommendations, as we know not every planner will provide this. The wedding day itself was stress-free and went so smoothly because of Emily and her assistants. Emily helped us with fixing our schedule and gave input for where timing was too tight to ensure the day would run well, she transported a lot of our décor to the venue in her own car, and she coordinated all of the vendors ahead of time for us. Emily’s assistants also put in so much hard work - they made sure that the decor was set up beautifully and how we wanted it, managed timing and vendors for us on the day of, took care of all of the clean-up for us, and even made sure dinner and dessert were packed for us since we didn’t have that much time to eat. Emily’s team even helped us to capture extra footage on the day of which we are so appreciative for. Overall, we could not thank Emily enough for how much care and support she showed to us throughout the whole process and especially the week and day of - she and her assistants always checked in with us to make sure we had what we needed and that we were enjoying ourselves on the day of. Fantastic experience: We were very lucky to have Stephanie and her team be there for our wedding celebration as month of coordinator. Stephanie was also our officiant. Initially we were going to DIY the whole wedding planning but thankfully decided against this. Even though we only hired her for day of planning, she has been involved with us throughout the whole year. Fantastic experience: We were recommended Sweetheart Events by a few different couples who got married. We started with an initial meeting with the owner, Stephanie, and we were pretty much sold after she explained what their wedding planners would handle. We have zero experience in planning a wedding and we also have busy lives and full time jobs. We wanted somebody to help guide us every step of the way, keep track of all the logistics, and to take care of everything on the wedding day. And this is exactly what SHE and their planners could provide. There’s no way our wedding would have gone so smoothly were it not for our amazing planner, Kay. From the moment of our first meeting, her enthusiasm struck a chord with us. And every subsequent meeting really helped ease our anxieties related to the wedding. We consider ourselves very lucky to have started working with SHE and Kay specifically for almost a full year before our wedding. And if you are considering whether or not you need a planner that early, let me just say - you do. Save yourself the months of anxiety and just hire yourself a professional. Kay was worth every cent and then some. She had the planning and organizing down to a science. Her years of experience guided us throughout the entire planning process. When we first started our planning, we were emailing all the prospective vendors ourselves. Some would reply days later, if at all. And that can make all the difference when you’re trying to lock down a venue during the very busy wedding season. I wished we had thought about hiring a planner from the very beginning. With Kay’s contacts in the industry, vendors would get back to her promptly. And speaking of vendors, Kay provided us with a list of vendors’ contacts that SHE has worked with before. It made a huge difference when sourcing items and people for the wedding. The list contained various vendors from decor, florals, furniture rentals, DJs, photobooths, clothing rentals, limos, and more. In addition to wedding planning, Kay has an extra bonus of also being an excellent stationary designer. She helped us with everything stationary-related. It was super convenient and saved us from having to find another vendor to take care of all the invites, menus, guest lists, etc. Kay also helped us with our wedding rehearsal. Our officiant couldn’t make it but Kay was more than capable in guiding us through what will and should happen on the actual day. On our wedding day, Kay and her assistants took care of everything so we could just focus on ourselves and our guests. They oversaw the vendors setting up the chairs, florals, music, and decor at the ceremony venue and everything was perfect when we arrived. And once the ceremony was over, they also oversaw the take-down as well. Same story for the reception venue, everything looked great and our guests were very happy with it. We didn’t have to lift a single finger and just got to enjoy the night. Kay created a very extensive schedule for the whole day and we were pretty much on track the entire day. My wife and I had such a great and memorable day that simply would not have been possible without Kay. We would recommend SHE and especially Kay to any of our friends or family who are planning a wedding.

Enter Laura, who kept us accountable on all our deadlines and had a wealth of wedding planning knowledge that just made our lives so much easier. She sourced last minute wedding vendor recommendations, coordinated with the venue & all vendors on details big and small (that we would’ve never begun to think about), and in the days leading up to the event, arranged pick up & drop off of all the decor that would need to be at the venue the morning of the wedding. Throughout the entire process she was so responsive to all our emails and wonderfully patient with all our many, many questions during the process. We only had a rough vision of our wedding and Laura filled in all the blanks for us and went above and beyond to make sure our day went off without a hitch. Even my friends commented on how seamlessly the entire event went off and how Laura radiated the calm, cool energy that indicated she knew EXACTLY what was doing all the time. When my veil wouldn’t stay in my hair at the eleventh hour she even whipped out extra bobby pins from her emergency kit! Truly, we can’t thank Laura, Stephanie & the Sweetheart team enough. We would 100% recommend hiring them to plan (and coordinate) any event for us in the future.

Fantastic experience: I could probably write a thesis on how incredible Stephanie and the entire SHE team was to work with. I keep calling her our fairy-godmother because she managed to turn my very niche, super specific-but-hard-to-get-just-right wedding vision into something better than I could have ever imagined. Fantastic experience: Our day would not have been as great as it was without sweetheart events. Our day of coordinator Sam was absolutely the best! She made our vision come to life better than I could have hoped for. After every meeting or email or text message with her my stress levels fell. Sam is a great communicator and I never had to wait long for a response from her. On the day she was perfect! I have never seen someone so on top of things. From making sure the emcee had proper notes to a drink appearing at my seat. If you need a right hand woman for your day you can’t go wrong with Sam and her team.

Fantastic experience: Boy oh boy, where do we start. Working with Kay to plan the biggest day of our lives was a breeze. I was the type of bride that really knows what I wanted and enjoyed planning leading up to the wedding day and needed to pass it off to let the professionals execute, and I couldn't have asked for a better team to work with. Kay, our wedding planner, understood the assignment without missing a beat and truly offered us a stress-free experience all throughout. She was available and attentive at all times leading up to the big day, she remembered every little detail of the day that were vital to us. Her eye for flawless decor/event operations, welcoming and energetic attitude towards anyone she met from our wedding was incredibly impressive. Steph, our wedding officiant, spoke our words on our behalf at the alter as we knew we couldn't share our story in a manner that our friends/family would be able to understand vs. bride/groom sobbing through the vows/story. She crafted a wonderful story about our love by connecting with our friends/family and shared the love story in the most genuine and sweet manner. Everyone says wedding planning/day is hard, but we are confident to say that it is the easiest thing when you do it with Sweetheart Events :)

Fantastic experience: Where do I even start?! As somewhat of a Type A bride myself, I was very particular about who my planner would be. I was looking for someone experiences, competent, and someone who truly understood my vision, and wouldn’t overtake it with their own. After interviewing and meeting with several (it went into the double digits), I had almost completely lost hope until my first call with Stephanie. Literally, there was an instant connection and I called my fiancé immediately after letting him know, “ I FOUND HER”. We went with the Partial Planning service, and are SO glad that we did. While I was very hands on at the beginning, I definitely started to lose steam the last few months leading up to the wedding, however Stephanie was there to pick up all the pieces. She is so organized, is literally on top of everything, and makes you feel like you’re the only wedding she is working on. Whenever I was stressed or overwhelmed, I would send her an email/text of all my questions and queries, and she’d get back to me immediately. And she brought together an amazing group of vendors, that not only met, but completely exceeded my expectations. The cherry on top, was on the wedding day - Me, my friends, and family could completely let loose, and let go, cause Stephanie and her team had it! Every “crisis” was averted with ease, and the fact that Stephanie and her team organizes the entire set up and take down was literally a godsend. My husband and I are SO happy with how everything turned out, and our guests had such a wonderful time.

Fantastic experience: Stephanie and her team are AMAZING! They are so good that we recommended Sweetheart to our friends before our wedding even took place. From our first call we were 100% confident that we were in good hands. Planning a wedding is stressful. As architects, we had high expectations for the aesthetics, wanted to keep costs down, and occasionally disagreed on design decisions. Stephanie negotiated all of this with humor and grace. Every time we met with her we were reenergized and excited about our wedding- she melts stress away. She thought of everything, had great ideas and vendor recommendations, and never pushed us beyond our budget. She also took all of our DIY decorations and arranged them in the best way possible for the space. The day of the wedding she solved problems before we knew about them, was totally in control, and kept everyone happy and on schedule. Fantastic experience: We were one of those that had numerous postponements due to the pandemic and after 3 long years of planning we finally had our wedding on April this year. We met with Stephanie back in 2019 and we immediately knew we were making the best decision to have the SHE team on board with us. They were extra supportive throughout the months that turned into years of having to wait and make changes to our wedding plans especially when our original venue did not make it through and had to close their doors. Kay was our coordinator and she is beyond amazing and so wonderful to work with. Stephanie officiated and it was such a unique touch to our ceremony our parents LOVED it. We welcomed our son last year and having a baby added in the wedding party was seamless thanks to all of their support. Everyone had a great time and I would 10000000% (not enough 0s to fit here) recommend the SHE team as it truly allows you to be “in the moment”. Having this kind of support takes care of the many many worries and troubleshooting that can deter you away from one of the best moments of the day. Fantastic experience: Kay and her team are phenomenal! We started planning in February for a wedding in May and she's the only reason we were able to get there without a hitch. On the big day, Kay and her team put out fires for us. We didn't even know there were fires in the first place because she reacted quickly, assessed the situation, and put the fires out. She took off so much stress and worrying off our shoulders. I can't wait to use Kay for my future vow renewal celebrations!

Fantastic experience: I am so incredibly happy I hired Kay (Kathlene) at SHE. From the start she was there for me every step of the way, and I know, in many instances, went above and beyond her scope of work just so I can feel less stressed leading up and during the big day. Because of my busy work schedule, I left everything to pretty last minute but Kay always made me feel at ease and that "she will take care of it." I also used Kay's excellent stationary design skills to help me with my seating chart and place cards and we totally loved it! She was patient with my endless questions and changes, coordinating with all the vendors and my family that there was basically nothing I needed to worry about. I had the best day and i attribute that largely to Kay and her team. At one point during the reception there was some glass explosion incident and Kay got on it right away - I didnt even hear about it until after the fact - thats only one of the examples of many where she stepped in and totally took control of the situation so I wouldnt have to deal with anything. She goes above and beyond and was such a great friend throughout the process.. even sometimes when I just needed to rant. I wouldnt have changed anything about working with her and 100000% recommend her to any family and friends. Yay for Kay!!!! P.S. There are some post-event matters I need to deal with and Kay was so responsive and totally ready to step in to help even after the fact. Again... above and beyond. I couldnt thank you enough!

Fantastic experience: When I was planning on proposing to my girlfriend, I had a rough idea of what I wanted but I definitely needed help with the logistics and execution of it all. So I contacted Stephanie and from the first moment that we spoke, I knew she was going to help make my vision a reality. She was super clear and concise, whether it be by phone or by email. Fantastic experience: We are way over due for this review, and mostly because this is one review we did not want to rush. Stephanie went above and beyond with the intimacy, realness, and passion she brought officiating our wedding. Now before we go on, it is important to note that we are located in Calgary, and our wedding was in Vancouver and we were able to only have one official zoom meeting with Stephanie to go through our "love story" and for her to get a sense of who we are as a couple. During the zoom call she made us feel excited, comfortable and at ease, it felt like we had known her for years. Fast forward to our wedding day, Stephanie was prompt and organized and she even set up her phone to record our ceremony! To be honest we don't like to be recorded, however we were so thankful & greatful that she did this for us as my husbands parents could not attend the wedding due to COVID, and it allowed us to share our special day with them. Our ceremony was small with less than fifteen people, and every single person came up to us after the ceremony making sure to let us know how beautiful, intimate, and real it was...even strangers who stopped to watch the ceremony! I am positive that a lot of these compliments were due to the way Stephanie officiated our ceremony. She brought enthusiasm and excitement, and made us feel so at ease the entire time. She shared our story as though she was a friend and really brought to life our story that encapsulated us. I don't think there are enough words to truly express how thankful we were to have Stephanie part of our big day, and could not imagine any one else officiating us. If you are hesitant or thinking if you should go with Stephanie wether it is for officiating or wedding planning i highly recommend Stephanie. If we had a larger wedding there is no doubt we would have hired Stephanie and her team to plan our special day as well. Oh! Important to note, COVID is crazy and our venues and regulations are changing at all times...Stephanie can officiate all over the lower mainland which is a huge bonus! Fantastic experience: Stephanie was our officiant for our wedding at Hycroft Manor and she was amazing! She came recommended by our wedding planner, Hasti, and we are so happy she was able to be a part of our day. She customized our ceremony based on our love story and what our friends and family shared with her. Her introductions and smooth transitions during the ceremony was impeccable, we didn't even have to rehearse! It was like a match made in heaven. Her guidance throughout the process of getting our license and what to do was super helpful. Although, we didn't get to meet in person before the wedding day due to the pandemic, on the day of, seeing her I felt like we've known each other since forever. Stephanie is also very thorough and thoughtful! She even made sure she was dressed to fit the theme of the wedding (which I really appreciated the effort!). Furthermore, she was sweet enough to share some advice that our friend had sent to her as part of her "interview" process and it was so touching and heartwarming. Fantastic experience: To be honest, I thought I didn’t need help with my wedding. I felt very capable of planning my own wedding and actually thoroughly enjoyed it…at first! As I started to realize the realities of a wedding and the added complexities of Covid protocols, I quickly decided I was going to need some superhuman help. In came Beth from Sweetheart Events for the last 2 months before the event, exactly when I needed her. She was always open to chat with me and help me just talk things out. A few times, our conversations would go in circles and we didn’t always get somewhere productive, but our chats always made me feel better. The changing PHOs around organized gatherings definitely did not help things, but Beth was always so optimistic and helped me navigate what it all meant. Then on the actual wedding day was when Beth truly shined. In the morning of the day I found myself with nothing to do and just wanted to help out- “Absolutely not!” said Beth, and she already had it and the next 100 things under control. She was able to think ahead to the next event/task/challenge and handle it immediately. The timeline of the day changed CONSTANTLY but it never phased her. She just went with the flow and made it all work flawlessly! The end of the night was a whirlwind, ending much later than planned. Beth already had it all under control with many things cleaned up, all my things packed into our limo, even including thoughtful touches like our place cards from our head table. Being a huge nerd, I definitely wanted those to add to my scrapbook! If I was looking for a new career, I would want to be a Sweetheart Events girl, and I think that is a true testament to Beth and the Sweetheart Events business. Fantastic experience: It’s been nearly three years since our wedding in 2018, but with all our friends’ wedding plans disrupted by covid, I found myself thinking about our own pandemic-free wedding. Stephanie and her team at Sweetheart Events were just phenomenal. They had great ideas, they responded to our own, they saved us money in the long run and made everything run stress free. It really felt like the perfect wedding. She planned our wedding timeline down to the minute and coordinated with all our vendors in the weeks leading up to the wedding.
