Fantastic experience: Like many brides who plan small weddings, I had the blind optimism that I could organize and coordinate everything on my own. But after getting a reality check, I was so fortunate that Melanie of Keepsake Events was able to step in and plan my wedding day and provide day-of coordination. What is it like to work with Melanie on one of the most important (and expensive!) days of your life? The most precise adjective I can think of is "seamless." Melanie is at once the most highly organized and effective person you've ever met, as well as the most calm, composed, and empathetic. I felt comfortable to bring any concern to her, no matter how small or odd, and she took our worries seriously and found a solution. If anything goes astray on your big day, you won't know it - Melanie will simply take care of it. She probably already had plans B, C, and D lined up, because another amazing quality of Melanie's is her extensive experience and foresight. She is also highly active in the community of wedding planners and vendors. My husband and I trusted in her recommendations because she knows and has worked directly with so many in the industry. All of this is to say I knew as soon as Melanie stepped in that we were in great hands and need not stress about a thing. Questions that we never even thought to ask, like which part of my chosen music to use for walking down the aisle, or what to write down our vows on, and of course all the coordination with the venue and vendors, Melanie had all of it sorted. She cared about every detail even more than I did, and we couldn't be more thankful for that. It wasn't until the day of, and in hindsight, that I understood exactly how many little things Melanie had put thoughtful consideration into. Keepsake Events is truly a passion for her, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Melanie and her team to everyone!

Fantastic experience: Our experience with Melanie and her team at KSE was exactly what we needed. Following her professional guidance was a huge stress relief for us, which is thanks to her many years in the wedding and events industry. Mel is so calm and sincere, she wants you to have the most enjoyable wedding and understands how important it is to you. She'll make you feel heard, and will kindly address any holes you may have in your own plans (trust me, you will). And when the big day arrives you can take a breath knowing that her and the team have your back. Our wedding took place within 8 months of meeting Mel, we had 123 guests at the Shaughnessy Restaurant, and it was perfectly executed. I had absolutely zero worries on the day about how the wedding would unfold because I knew Mel was two steps ahead. From our first consultation to the very last hour of our wedding night we were in highly organized hands thanks to Mel. We appreciate her and the team who worked so hard to ensure that we had the perfect wedding!

Fantastic experience: Keepsake Events was amazing from day 1. It was so relieving to rely 100% on Mel and her team on our wedding day. We knew we were in good hands from our first meeting with Mel where she asked all the right questions to make sure all our boxes were checked off before and during the wedding. Fantastic experience: My son and daughter in law hired KeepSake as the month coordinator. When a staffing issue arose, Mel immediately stepped in to take over the wedding coordination. She is a consummate professional and is truly dedicated to the couple's needs. She is calm, kind, detailed oriented, thorough, organized and very experienced. As the mother of the groom, I have organized a fair number of events, and I thought I was organized, but Mel is on another level. She reviewed all the vendor contracts and hotels beverage and food contract. When issues were identified, not only were they brought to our attention, but she came up with suggestions to resolve the issues. Mel was very responsive to her emails. She is also very flexible and accommodating as plans changed. On the big day itself Mel and her assistants made sure that everything ran smoothly and kept the wedding party on schedule. She kept me informed on the wine and open bar consumption throughout the evening. She made many trips to the bridal suite to ensure that the cards and gifts were stored safely. She stayed to the bitter end overseeing all the vendors and clean up. We can't say enough good things about Mel and Keepsake. She is an absolute treasure and delight to work with.

Fantastic experience: I found Keepsake Events on Instagram when looking for a wedding planner. Since the initial consultation, Mel was calm and grounded, all while being very detail-oriented, thorough, and attentive. Her eye for design is AMAZING – I am not great at visioning but Mel was so patient as I communicated what I wanted and she somehow just GOT me. The vision board she came back with was PERFECT and far better than what I ever could’ve found from digging through Pinterest. Her clear communication was so refreshing and we cannot count how many times her detailed and organized emails gave us peace! She easily went above and beyond with design/decor and executed our vision entirely by adding details we didn’t even know we needed, all while staying within the budget we requested (which wasn’t a lot). We were constantly blown away by her generosity, whether that was giving us vendor recommendations, thoroughly answering our millions of questions, or coming through with rental items. We had Agnes for wedding day coordination and we absolutely loved her enthusiasm and groundedness. Her attention to detail was amazing and she made sure nothing slipped through the cracks. She also made sure we weren’t overwhelmed and assured/affirmed us that it was OUR day and to do what we wanted. Her trustworthiness definitely let us be present throughout the day because we knew we were in great hands. She coordinated with all our friends/family who were helping out on the day and took on vendor communication so seamlessly as well. The whole day went so smoothly and we know it was thanks to her! Now, the one piece of advice I give to anyone wedding planning is to hire a wedding planner and then I point them to Mel. The decision to hire her was 120% worth it and we truly could not recommend Keepsake Events more! Thank you Mel and Agnes! <3

Fantastic experience: BIG thank you to Keepsake Events for making our wedding day the most perfect day ever. We wouldn’t change a thing about how the day turned out. Melanie designed our wedding space perfectly to reflect the natural beauty of the garden venue and having her expertise on how things operate in the wedding world and at our specific venue was invaluable. We had Agnes as our day of coordinator and she was such an amazing person to have on our team closer to our wedding day. She kept everything moving smoothly on the day of so all we had to do was show up and enjoy ourselves. The entire process of planning a wedding was sometimes hard and stressful, but having Agnes and Melanie's help made it a lot easier. Fantastic experience: We had Agnes as our wedding day coordinator and she was AMAZING <3 We would give her even more stars if we could and would recommend her to any and everyone. She was like having a super organized and awesome friend running around on our wedding day. Even before the big wedding day, Agnes was so helpful and reassuring to keep us organized. She would help contact all our vendors and any friends involved in the wedding set up. She was also always looking out for us as a couple, reminding us to stay hydrated and to eat and she also checked in with us if we needed to step away for breaks from guests. Having her coordinating the wedding really helped us enjoy the day.

Fantastic experience: I happened to come across Keepsake Events & Mel when looking on Instagram for a wedding planner. I knew immediately I wanted to work with her when we briefly met for a consultation. From the get go, Mel was so pleasant, cheery, and super calm (if you’re a naturally anxious person like I am, Mel was amazing at keeping me feel assured). I couldn’t have been more happier to work with Mel on the entire wedding process. She was extremely organized and was able to accommodate my billion questions with detailed responses. I really appreciated Mel’s expertise in the industry, she knew all the nuanced scenarios that comes with planning a wedding. Most of all, Mel tailored all of her planning and recommendations to my aesthetic, my personality, and what I was comfortable with — in short, she just GOT me. On the wedding day Mel was AMAZING at keeping everything under control. I wasn’t worried about a single thing. We had intermittent check-ups throughout the wedding which made me feel even more relaxed (amongst ALL the happenings behind the scenes)! Hiring an expert really paid off for us and the investment was 100% worth it. I had the happiest day of my life and couldn’t recommend Keepsake Events more.

Fantastic experience: We had met Melanie from KeepSake Events through other friends who had used her and her team for wedding planner services and knew immediately she was the one for us - her calm, thoughtful, detail-oriented personality was exactly what we needed and we highly recommend her to support you with all your wedding planning needs! Mel was always very quick to respond to all our questions (and we had many!) and took ownership of communication and collaboration with our vendors so that we could stay stress-free during the wedding. What really stood out to us was her unwavering commitment and professionalism throughout the entire experience - she listened to our questions/concerns and genuinely cared about our experience, as well as our family's. Fantastic experience: We worked with Agnes, from Keepsake Events, as our month of coordinator for our wedding at Riverway Clubhouse in July 2023. Agnes did a fantastic job supporting the planning of an eventful schedule, which included tea ceremonies, first look photos, wedding party photos, ceremony, reception, a dance performance, activities, and multiple vendors. The plan was clearly laid out and unique to us, the wedding party, and all our vendors. Our communication with her was very clear and responsive, as she followed up on any requests / changes quickly. We also loved that she worked with us to fine tune our priorities of the day's events based on many considerations (e.g. help guide decisions around when first dance would take place in the schedule based on photography availability). And the day of the event, when it really counted, her and her team coordinated all the pieces to ensure we had a stress-free day. There were also small things, like consistently bringing us ice water in-between our post-ceremony guest photos in the sun that showed us she was there to support every moment of the day. She did this all with a smile on her face and positive attitude to keep the day light, and fun for us and our guests. We can’t thank Agnes enough for all she did for our wedding, her support throughout the process made the day incredibly special for us!

Fantastic experience: I stumbled upon Keepsake Events on instagram during the beginning of my wedding planning journey and knew immediately that I wanted to work with Mel. From the get go, Mel was kind, thoughtful, and professional. She consistently carried a calm and supportive energy throughout the entire wedding planning process and was able to bring together all the moving parts and help me put together arguably one of the most beautiful days of my life! The months leading up to the wedding were quite stressful for me, but seeing Mel's detail-oriented master plan come together, put the teacher in me at ease. Mel was transparent and honest in her communication and her connections and knowledge is something I am incredibly grateful for. Fantastic experience: There are not enough words to describe Mel's dedication to her job and her couples. During the entire wedding planning process, Mel was so helpful, responsive, and incredibly calm. She understood our vision and never once pushed anything on us that didn't align with that. Two weeks before our wedding Mel was in an unthinkable accident. While she was not able to attend our actual wedding day, she went above and beyond (from the hospital) to ensure a smooth transition to another planner. With such short notice and in such a difficult circumstance, I'm still blown away by what Mel did for us. The wedding went off without a hitch and we were able to fully enjoy the best day of our lives. I cannot recommend her enough to anyone planning a wedding! Fantastic experience: I came across Keepsake thanks to the recommendation of my photographer. When I first reached out, Mel was recovering from a serious accident and she was not ready to take on clients yet. But instead of just telling me that, she also included venue suggestions which was something that I needed to help with. I was FLOORED by her generosity and thoughtfulness — and in that moment, I knew she was the right planner for me. So I waited (and stalked lol) her IG until I got the green light that she was ready to return. And guess what? I made the right decision. From the beginning to the end, Mel stayed true to my first impressions of her. She always provided thoughtful answers and remembered every single detail that was mentioned. Her consistently calm energy kept me balanced, and although I'm not privy to the details, I'm certain there were touch-and-go situations happening (especially when we were holding out on rain that weekend). But the whole day went beyond smooth. Her, Jasmine and Michelle were like ninjas behind the scenes making sure everything was timed perfectly and none of our guests felt rushed or delayed. Fantastic experience: My wife and I had the greatest time during our wedding and we couldn't have asked for a better day to celebrate. There were many things for us to gush and chat about on the trip to our honeymoon. The standout topic that kept coming up time and time again was Agnes and how outstanding she was. She was so attentive, very friendly, impressively organized and coordinated things beautifully. The lead up to our wedding had plenty of things for us to get anxious or stressed about. As the weeks went on, Agnes followed up and sorted out one thing after another. Each passing day the frantic and hectic nature got smaller and smaller. As the days went on more stress subsided, swapped out for excitement, joy and anticipation. Ultimately leading to an unforgettable event that ran like clockwork. All that was left for us was to live in the moment and savor the celebration with our loved ones. Regardless of the complexity and size of your wedding, having a coordinator is worth it's weight in gold. And we got more than we could've hoped for with Agnes and Keepsake Events. Fantastic experience: I have worked with Melanie from Keepsake Event multiple times for photoshoots over the past two years. She is one of the most professional wedding/event planners in Vancouver I've ever met. She has excellent taste with attention to all details. She planned everything with a strong and focused purpose and curated the best-suited vendors for them. The end results came beyond expected, which were featured in top-notch wedding magazines such as the cover of Rocky Mountain Bride and worldwide famous sites like Anti Bride. She is also highly organized with great communication skills. She always made sure to send the mood board, vendor list, timeline, and all information related prior to the event. She made sure everyone followed the COVID protocol during the pandemic. She is also a very sweet person that always brings coffee and snacks for everyone, as well as provides lunch for vendors. I love being taken care of by such a wonderful planner like Melanie and I am sure other vendors feel the same way, as well as real brides. Fantastic experience: Agnes was my main coordinator and she was so amazing! I highly recommend her and Keepsake Events if anyone is looking for a planner or coordinator. Agnes provided me with so many helpful tips before the wedding and made me realize there should be a third party that should go over your schedule. For example, when your makeup ends at 8:00am, you can’t just magically arrive at your venue also at 8:00am. Agnes also made sure that we were both fed and relaxed on the day of the wedding. My favorite part of the day was her ordering us coffee because the restaurant didn’t have any :) . Thanks to Agnes and Keepsake events for making our wedding such an unforgettable day!

She was flexible and creative with accommodating last minute changes in the context of ever-changing pandemic regulations. Fantastic experience: Mel was our day of coordinator and we truly could not have been in better hands. She is super efficient, organized, and has the most gentle and calming demeanor. We had our elopement and honeymoon in Hawaii before our Vancouver reception and probably wouldn’t have enjoyed our time on the island as much if we didn’t have Mel coordinating the last minute details in Vancouver. Many of our guests commented on how relaxed and happy we looked at the reception and we credit much of that to Mel’s support.

We were so relieved to have you coordinate from the beginning of the wedding planning process, right to the last minute on the dance floor. Your communication was always positive, calm, and prompt. Knowing that planning was completely overwhelming for both of us, you took the reigns from the start by contacting various venues for us, after understanding our personalities. Thank you for taking us on a shortlisted tour and for finding a ceremony and reception venue that we absolutely loved and suited our needs. You were instrumental in finding and liaising with our vendors. Organizing the hotel room blocks with my extended family was no easy task! We really appreciated your weekly to-do lists that kept us on track two months before the wedding (you are the master of colour-coded spreadsheets). You guided us on etiquette and thought of questions we did not even think of. Thank you for being there for us every step of the way, from giving us your opinion on invitation layouts to completely taking over the day before the wedding when a certain bride was too hungover to function. The wedding day was organized, flowed well, and most importantly, fun! Best part of all? Not one complaint afterwards from the picky mother-of-the-bride! A feat in itself. Fantastic experience: Keepsake Events went way beyond our expectations to make our wedding so much fun and stress free! We met with a couple wedding planners and coordinators before picking Melanie. She was so responsive and easy to coordinate with and seemed super organized. Once the planning started this didn't change at all. She was really easy to get a hold of by email and phone, and was able to keep us on track leading up to the wedding. Before working with Melanie, we were pretty scattered with our wedding planning - we had our venue and some vendors booked but didn't have a clear idea of what we wanted our wedding to be like. We weren't able to give Melanie a lot of direction, but what she did with our little nuggets of ideas was amazing. The biggest thing for us was how, as the wedding neared, we as the couple had less and less to do. Once Melanie had enough information from us, she was able to just work behind the scenes and get everything arranged without adding any stress to us. Our wedding went so smoothly - the Keepsake team set up our decor so beautifully, and coordinated with everyone involved so that we were able to just enjoy our day. It definitely wouldn't have been possible for us to have so much fun at our wedding without Melanie's help.
